This was a decent film and I don't mean to troll at all but I am kind of sick of the "Extreme Ending Edition" DVDs they put out now. I think I'll save my dollars for the super enhanced HD-DVD version to come out in 5 years which will probably come out about the same time that the super enhanced star wars HD-DVD with 2 hours of bonus footage of Lucas taking a shit on his fans and whiping his ass with the money they are giving him to do it.
I had never heard of this guy until now i didn't know this fucker and I can't say that I will miss him. Mod me down or ban if you must be at least I am honest most of the people here didn't know the guy and will not give a second thought about him.

Being that I have a quite good looking legally blind lesbian friend having a recording attachment to these things would bring...umm...peace of mind its very important to know that she is..ummm....safe... and being able to record her daily activities would be...uumm...comforting....yeah
I can't believe I actually read this on filth on slashdot. Anyone who needs to know exactly why actionscript/flash should NEVER EVER be used as a programming tool just needs to look at Sony Sonicstage and Sony simple burner. Those two programs prove how dog slow and bloated flash really is. If you haven't had the displeasure of using those programs with a minidisc player you don't know the true pain of using flash based programs.
Please mod me up if you are tired of hearing about these domain name fight cases it happens all the time unfortunately post somehting truely interesting next time.
But how many US officials have the chip? My guess is many of them probably do and its simply not public knowledge. I would be shocked if The Dubya himself did not have something even more powerful implanted in him in the event of one of many worst case scenerio's where he could be be kidnapped.
Although I agree that implanting people with chips is pretty dehumanizing, if you agree to a particular job you have to agree with the particular terms of employment, no matter how absurd, if you don't like it then find a new line of work its that simple. Those gov't employess have an option to do this so comparing their situation to the serial number tatoos on jews in concentration camps is almost laughable.
And before anyone can even think to say "Well then the US gov't wouldn't cooperate with them" and "The US gov't is forcing them to do this". I will once again say everyone has a choice, The Mexican government can choose not to work with the US in sharing intelligence but there are consequences to every choice. I am sure the Mexican government and the Mexican officials themselves weighed the consequences of every particular course of action carefully so if they choose to implant their officials with chips the consequences of those decisions fall upon the Mexican government itself and no one else.
mod parent down a simple googling of "linux autozone" turns up several links including this . I'm sure a simple search would turn up many more companies that use linux
Sony's Minidisc players are a terrible alternative I own one the software for them stinks. And when I wrote Sony in an attempt to get permission to write a better alternative to their crappy OpenMG software, which I might add is not open source, for my senior project this year I was sent a rude and threatening e-mail maybe I shouldn't have mentioned I wanted to make it support windows and linux. On top of that the minidsic players DO NOT support MP3 when I bought it on the label it specifically said it supported the MP3 format which is very decptive. The minidisc player converts all formats to ATRAC3 which imo stinks I have never been an audiophile but as soon as I heard the quality I knew is was significantly worse than MP3.
I dont know what kind of 6th graders your dealing with but I have a cousin who recieved a laptop from the 6th to the 8th grade in NYC part of some "bridging the digial divide" nonsense anyway she doesn't live in the greatest of areas and she would walk with her laptop from school past drug dealers, users, gang members and all sorts of shady characters and back every single day. A bully should be easy to deal with in comparison especially since the laptop is school property the teachers will be more than willing to handle a situation with a simple bully.

I love that part last time I checked we don't really know government secrets since they are after all secrets so I would assume we wouldn't know how many there are past and present and therefore don't know if it has increased. I agree with a good portion of the article but lets not be foolish any government is going to have secrets cause people in general have dirty ugly secrets, don't like it claim a piece of land near the center of Antarctica setup a tent and wait for the ice to melt I hear there is a government secret that "big oil" has secret bases there for when ice caps melt off then they will diversify into Real Estate, but of course these people knew that.
