But AFAIK the average lifespan of nightclub owners is pretty short. Yes, but sitting at a computer 18 hours a day is bad enough, that coupled with spamming people those 18 hours a day, and I'd imagine his change of job has increased his life expectancy significantly.
While SPARC's Solaris is said to be more optimized than its x86 counterpart on the other hand so is Linux 2.6 compared to 2.4 Maybe for computers with multiple processors, for regular computers Linux 2.6 is comparitively slower.
Isn't there a war somewhere you guys should be chickening out of? Wow, what a bold statement, saying the whole of Europe 'chicken out' of wars. To my knowledge England has never 'chickened out' of a war. Oh, and isn't there a war somewhere you guys should be starting?
Yeah, combine that with the fact that the europeans don't want you there in the first place, and both continents are happy. Yup, an American driving up to me in a stupidly big 4x4 in the middle of a city, shouting "EXCUSE ME, CAN YOU DIRECT ME TO THE NEAREST MCDONALDS" is hardly what I want in my country, thanks.
50 bucks says all the AC replies to this parent are from the same IP.BR> 50 bucks says you owe me 50 bucks. I accept cheques. Cuh been having a really hard day computerising today. These new iBooks are waay too small.
I'm not one to go about shouting the praises of Microsoft, but someone over there's got their head out of their asses. Unfortunatly, noone has yet to get their head out of Uncle Bill's ass. (posting AC because I'm a pussy)
that just using johnsmithword-AT-hotmail.com works fine (where word is taken out and -AT- is replaced with @) I use that and have yet to have a single spam email.
Imagine devices that monitor the breathing rhythms of infants in cribs, watch toddlers at day care, and track children as they go to and from school; that can keep an eye on our home supply of orange juice and let us know when the milk is sour. Machines might watch our calorie intake and burn-off, monitor air quality in our homes, and look out for mice and bugs. All these things are currently available, and have been for at least 5 years, it's just they're very expensive at the moment.
So your point is.....that if you haven't heard of it you can stay without it? I tend to laugh now..........my gosh............!!! sometimes i read jokes in slashdot!!! ya we need someone like this to keep us smiling..... I don't even own a mobile, why would I want it?
floptical (basically a floppy disk which uses an optical tracking mechanism to improve the positioning accuracy of an ordinary magnetic head, thereby allowing more tracks and greater density.) drives etc very well, they had poor read and write performance and bad reliability. Although these new drives seem to give better reliability, their speed seems to be just as poor. I'd give it a miss and buy one of these beauties.
Actually... all Microsoft products that are alike seem to talk to each other brilliantly, for example I used to play Doom2 on MS-DOS and had NO difficulties playing it, now I play Action Quake 2 (action.telefragged.com (can't get the link to work because of the action. at the start)) on Windows XP at LAN parties and have never had any problems, as everyone else coming to the party has not had a dodgy LAN card and has always ran the operating system the rest of us have run. Common sense really.
Anyone who has ever messed around with Microsoft's supposedly 'plug and play' home networking knows what I am talking about Actually, Microsoft's plug and play is brilliant. All you need to do is get 2 network cards, plug them in to each computer, get some CAT5 crossover cable, run the network wizard, and you're set, and to get ICS working all you need to do is tick a box! Excellent.
LOLZ OMG%&(*%&(
whoops
It's ironic that you criticize that, considering that was your 14th post TODAY.
So I've spent about 30 minutes on the internet? Wow!

Please don't be referring to England as part of Europe. Not yet, anyway.
ok

Surely if a company went with all open source software going with Microsoft would cost them a literally infinite amount more?

ITRON may be the most popular OS, but I know I'd rather be without this OS I've never heard of than Windows.

When there is KaZaA and Bittorrent? Unless the RIAA bucks up I don't feel like purchasing legal music, online or not.

So what if FreeBSD is fast? So's MS-DOS.
I can probably practically feel the testicular cancer already!
Actually I think you're supposed to hold hands for it to work...
