There are a lot of companies in India that can offer you a "Time and Material" on any number of devs. you want. You could also easily scale up or down without any investment in captial. Some also offer a 20% rebate i.e. you buy 10 devs. and pay only for 8.
I know it's easier said than done, but all you have to do is find the right company that can offer quality on time.
How about we classify the php extensions as "thread safe" and "not thread safe". This way when I make a custom install of php, I can decide which apache to install based on the extensions I require.

I think that this just shows what is wrong with dmoz. Unlike wikipedia where everything is open and subject to review (by anyone), dmoz is very secretive. Right from listing a site to selecting an editor.
Dmoz has been hijacked by a few SEOs and fanatics, and H. Ertas has got what he deserved.
Also, reading the posts above, I frankly don't see how this affects wikipedia. Try and appreciate the difference, a sentence has been passed against an Editor NOT against dmoz.

If there is a queue of people waiting to travel to space and not enough capacity then you could select on the basis of scientific background etc.
But this is not the case, hence only money will have to do!!
