    No, actually, i don't have a USB keyboard. Many people don't have a USB mouse, either. They should have added PS2 ports if they were serious [yes, a PS2->USB adapter is only about $20, but it's another trip to the store for someone who was told their existing keyboard would work]

    Any attempt to claim something that was being done before the patent was made public is patent infringement, will automatically invalidate the entire patent in question.
    Any attempt to popularize a patent without disclosing the fact that it is patented, with the intention of collecting royalties later, will also result in automatic revocation.

    Side note: in the UK, it's actually treason, as the postal service is operated on behalf of the royal family. Stealing mail from the post office is actually stealing from the Queen, because it belongs to her, not you.

    i think the US post office works the same way [i.e. the mail is government property] - but our definition of "treason" is a lot more strict than yours so it's still just theft [but it's theft of government property and thus a federal crime]

    The natural conclusion from your second formula is that a single chlorine atom can go marauding through the entire atmosphere, destroying ozone, without any consequences to itself - doesn't this violate some law of conservation?
