  1. Apple has been doing this for years on Microsoft Squeezes Win2000 Users · · Score: 0

Mod me down if you want but Apple has been doing this for years.
I should know, I've been a Mac user for 12 years.

  2. Doesn't work. on 15 Things Apple Should Change in Mac OS X · · Score: 0

Option and Zoom button (+) Doesn't work in the Finder, iTunes, or Safari (probably many more).
And for some strange reason the Zoom button in Mail doesn't Zoom at all, it Maximizes. This itself is a huge UI inconsistency with the rest of Mac OS X (even Classic Mac OS conventions).
Contrary to what Linux and Windows user might think Zoom is NOT intended to be a Maximize or function like Maximize.

I started with Netscape 2.02, and to Netscape's credit Navigator didn't go to hell until version 5 or 6. As for McAfee and Symantec they deserve to die. Their consumer level virus programs are bloated bandwidth sucking RAM hogs. Half the time I get a machine in with an Internet connection problem, or "sunning really slow, it's Norton Antivirus that's the culprit. Symantec and McAfee deserve to DIAF (Die In A Fire).

  6. Re: Bzzzzt! Wrong on SGI Arises From the Ashes · · Score: 0

sgi created IRIS GL and later released it as OpenGL. I would say OpenGL is pretty significant as far as graphics are concerned.
Microsoft and nVIDIA bought numerous graphics patents from sgi in the mid through late 90's. These purchased OpenGL patents and technologies contributed greatly to production of Direct3D and nVIDIA's success.
There is also a large consesus that ATi would not even be in the same realm as nVIDIA if not for their purchase of ArtX. ArtX was a company founded by ex-sgi employees. ATi purchased ArtX a short time after ArtX created the Nintendo 64's graphics system.
