  3. This is duh. Did you think Apple added this "feature" for security? They added it to get biometric data. No one wants to unlock a phone with a face. Just just a PIN. Most people don't even want to bother with PINs or security at all.

  4. You know what the Russians did instead? "Used a pencil". I hate that meme.

That is what I was thinking too. But they signed the Paris Accord so that would mean they are being dishonest about their commitment to reducing greenhouse gasses. We all know that signatories to the accord have cut their greenhouse gas emissions already. Except for the US, which didn't sign the accord and has been increasing their greenhouse gas output every year. Oh wait, it is the opposite? Carry on.

  9. Because the sun is going to go supernova evenutally. You don't need to brute force search every problem. Just because some solution doesn't use brute force doesn't make it suddenly "AI".

  10. AR definitely has potential. VR has issues that cannot be overcome due to human physiology.

  11. If some smart programmers put effort into it they could eventually create a bridge playing program that would win. Playing games isn't AI.

It isn't that impressive. Go is a game played with strict rules. Computers LOVE rules. They excel at anything that has a strict rule set. That is what they are best at. Why would it be a surprise that a computer can win at ANY game? They can win any game you invent.

  14. More AI hype. Next thing you know they will be naming hard drives "AI" because it is so cool and trendy. AI is the next VR.

  15. They are such fascists. Why can't they be more enlightened like us Americans?

  16. Slashdot keeps mentioning this. Are you considering adding this to the website? That would be cool!
