    Why are you thinking that Apple is doing the right thing? They don't give a shit about you. Who do you think gave NSA access to their datastores? Microsoft, Apple, Google, etc. No one is "standing up" to anyone.

    They aren't standing up to anyone. They are saying it isn't possible currently. But if the government really insisted they would put a system in place where it was possible. As a bonus they would take some tax money to implement the system.

    It was regressive. The rich people bought solar panels which were subsidized by the government. The poor pay taxes which subsidize the rich buying the panels. A regressive tax is one that taxes the poorer people more than the richer people. The cause was progressive because it was supported by "progressive" people: rich, typically white people. Thats the argument anyway.

A supermarket opened its doors? Wow. The world does not end. There are bugs in software all the time. The problem with people like Yourdon is the exaggerated everything to sell books.
