If so many people are going to see it, it must be good!, TV says its good!.
We must see it.
ps: Whats the thing with this new "you are not a scripty kiddy creation?" damn it, at least make the freakin letters readable.
The guy who translates the entire movie line by line for his spanish speaking family of 8 so they can see it in the theater.
I guess thats because they dont display subtitled versions in the USA and there is no way for no-english talking persons to watch a movie at a theather.
Anyway, although i agree with some of your "comments", i think you are a bit exaggerated. Just go tell them to shut up/stop, i know i do it.
I think this is a common misconception about development countrys (aka 3rd world), barebones are around 300 U$S here, and they dont even include a processor or memory (not to name a monitor). Mac Mini is more than 650 U$S and we can get a PC with better specs and a 17 inch monitor for about 500 U$S.
I dont understand why people think this would benefit 3rd world countries, its obvious that this kind of "gadgets" are for a very specific target and most of the people in this countries are not in that category.
Why on earth do you call that being TAUGHT???
Everything you named is a PUBLICITY (except in one case where is an automatic action done by an ignorant user who doesnt read what he accepts).
If a person cant diferenciate between a publicity and someone teaching something, well, i wouldnt trust them anything i value.
I mean, how can you call something sayd by a company "teaching", its not like you are going to "learn" anything from street banners (or online ones, for that matter),
People should use their own brain when they receive something they didnt ask for, and that implies READING. Which is not the same as looking at a banner with a Windows Logo and a stupid but real nice blond saying: Its so easy!.
Actually i think its a good thing, because cheaper production means that more studios will be able to do it, until now, Pixelstudios were the only real 3D movie studio that made some "hits" due to its high quality products. We yet have to see if they will make any good use of this to make better products or not.
Anyway, i think as you about the gaming segment will have some impact, although this might be for making games, and not running them, same as the movies.
Although i dont share your opinion. Im aware that Macs are from Apple, and as far as i know, they have the "right" to do whatever it pleases them with them, as they are the ones who would loose sales if they do something like forviding other OSs from being able to install. While Microsoft is, or used to be, a software monopoly... now its on the Net, Soft, Perispherals and now, even on hardware... like if "winmodems" werent enogh, i guess we'll have to check if the mother is "Linux Compatible" like we do with modems and other hardware outthere when we go out for an upgrade.
No hay mal que por Bill no venga... (the translation is not as funny as the original, sorry)

I guess that with all the money going on 3D movies, some will make good use of it... Although Sherk 2 looks quite alright without it :)
