    You really have to hand it to the Microsoft marketing dept for making everyone believe they need to upgrade every year.
    That's exactly the way it is. MS marketing have a huge bucket of money and will go on convincing, the great majority of people, that they need the latest MS product. It's called free speech, and it costs a fortune.

    1. Personally I believe there is no solution to the problem. What we are facing when we examine violence in children is part of the foundation supporting human nature itself.
    I pity you, it makes me sad

    What really sets humanity aside from other animals is our communication. A channel of understanding between 2 people can remove fear any need for violence.

    It's not supposed to be easy, that's where the challenge lies. What you suggest makes as much sense as low nicoteen cigarettes. Would you like there to be some kind of warning on games?

    So if you are about to plan a city, "SimCity" would help you much better than "Age of Empires".
    A graduate degree in architectural history, historic preservation, history, anthropology, with some appropiate specialization would help even more.

    On a serious note, I find it sinister to think that game developers could have some hidden educational incentive. Are players of violent video games more likely to support US foreign policy?

    The N-Gage phone platform is a good example where they help and encourage small developers.

    KDE and Gnome both behave enough like each other and windows for a novice user. More experienced users have even more choice.

    Choice is always a good thing, even if you choose stick with the default set-up.
