The real question is: How many lawsuits or industrial actions will be averted because of this app? If the legal fees alone would cost more, then it's a pretty good idea.
Yes, and I'm sure we all agree with you. The issue is THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY WERE SAYING! You've got it in your head that that is the case, but it simply isn't. You misread the article.
You should have kept reading. The author is highlighting how the performance issues on the desktop were claimed to not be a hindrance on the server. The rest of the article goes into depth on that last point, focussing on the server.
It seems you are the one with the lack of understanding.
Sorry to go off-topic, but "single observers" have been able to piece together the full history of your walk since man started walking. It's called "following someone". I don't see how CCTV is any different.
The Data Protection Act would have a *lot* to say about that. The amount of data you would be able to request from said companies would bring them to their knees if even a handful of people requested it.
You should really read more about what's going on, as that's a very poor description of what's happening in Europe. Hint: Europe != EU != Eurozone, and there are lots of different economies in the EU, some are doing rather well indeed.
Their issue is the wealthy are not taxed enough, banks aren't regulated enough, and lobbying tends to keep the powerful powerful and the poor poor. Protesting is not lobbying, and it's either intellectually lazy or dishonest to say it is.
So your argument is unsubstantiated. Thanks for playing. Why you're standing up for the 1% to fuck you over I'll never know. They won't repay you for the support, but will keep on fucking you and your family over until they die. What a loving person you are.
Every single thing you wrote about how great the US is is wrong. Categorically, demonstrably wrong. You are talking about "enlightenment ideals", not American ideals, and they started firmly in Europe.
AGW advocates such as the scientific community? The horror! Oh no! I guess they could get Monckton on there to shit garbage everywhere. Would that make you happy?
There's only one background program needed to keep the system safe, and on my machine it's using 520KB of memory, and is not using any CPU. It updates silently, and doesn't require rebooting.
No one is suggesting Google would be buying the business model. They're more interested in the catalogues each company holds. Once they own them, the business model previously used to fuck customers can simply, and effortlessly, disappear.
Just looking at the hottest years is bad science. Really bad science. Really, really bad science. You should challenge your own accuracy before challenging that of others.
Saying "Android" is like saying "computer" - it's a very vague term that embraces a wide variety of hardware. I've got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and it has absolutely no problem scrolling pages (containing flash, if desired;)) smoothly as silky butter on a skillet. Plus, if you think iOS works without event queues, you are sorely mistaken:)
I don't plug my Android device into my computer at all - it's a Samba host and server, so it just sits on my network. If I want to get files on or off it, I just browse it when it's still in my pocket (or use it to browse my network, and copy files across). Same goes for development - you can use wifi for debugging app development on it.
What the fuck? Why not just set up a direct deposit to your landlord, like folks do in civilised countries? No messing around with chequebooks or the post. No messing around with *anything*. I've never paid my landlord with anything other than direct deposits, since I first left home in the 90s.
Or just work for a company that doesn't fuck up paying its employees. Problem solved. No more ridiculously anachronistic IOUs being passed around just to make sure no one fucks up in passing around IOUs. Genius.

That's just a slight upgrade, not the "next big thing" it's been touted as.
He's saying, successfully, that you are out of your depth. Again.

Neither the BBC or Ofcom are government agencies, fyi.
Do you even know what that word means?
AGW advocates such as the scientific community? The horror! Oh no! I guess they could get Monckton on there to shit garbage everywhere. Would that make you happy?
It seems you don't understand the words "democracy" and "republic". It would probably help your case if you did.

I've never seen that.
Voice assistants have been on Android for ages - they pre-date Apple's incarnation of Siri.
Cousins, not brothers.
