I took the TGV from Paris to Karlsruhe a couple of years ago, and it was travelling at just under 200mph through the countryside. Absolutely awesome journey. It's seriously impressive. Plus I had to get a first-class ticket (as it was the only seat left on the train), so the cabin was really comfortable (and they gave out free posh lunch boxes). And beer. Lots of beer. Awesome.
And I once saw a car crash, therefore travelling by car is going to kill everyone.
The plural of anecdote is not "data".
Have you studied the Karlsruhe system? It's fantastic, and offers near-door-to-door travel, with no worry about maintenance, fuel prices, parking, or being drunk.
You keep saying "train". What kind of train? Would it make sense if someone just said "car"? Are they all the same? Your bias is showing... and it ain't pretty.
That's why I love the Karlsruhe method of public transport. Trams all over the place, connecting cities with towns in its vicinity. You can get your train to the main train station, then transfer to a tram (using the same ticket) to get to within 100m of your final destination.
Just like Windows. If you download an executable, it will always ask you if you want to run it when you try to run it. Until you turn the warning off for that particular file, that is.
So we don't have any evidence he said it, and we have evidence of him denying he said it. That, to you, is sure evidence of him saying it. Way to go, Captain Sparky!
Nope. The Geneva Conventions apply to all prisoners. What rights (by which convention) they have is dependent upon whether they are adequately described by Article 4 of the Third Geneva Convention.
Also, it's not "uniform" but openly-visible distinguishing feature made readily apparent before and during an attack. You know, the thing armies must have before opening fire on people engaged in an attack (due to terms of engagement).
And when are they going to set this up? Who is going to maintain it? How will they afford it? Will these people have enough time left over to live their lives?
Do you know why Y2K wasn't such a big deal? Because lots of very talented people worked for a very long time updating lots of code to handle the event. It's not like it was predicted by your "bunch of idiots" and then no one did anything and it turned out to be nothing. If the workers hadn't spent years fixing everything, there would have been chaos in many places and in many industries.
Surely that's guesswork, as Franklin isn't alive today, and will never be alive today, so you have no way of knowing that. Maybe you should rephrase your certainty.
Surely you could just stop going to sites which have adverts you don't like? It seems a bit cheap to use a site's bandwidth, for content you clearly like, and not want to repay them by just being served a few adverts. You don't even have to click them for the site to get money.
Chrome is an awesome browser, though. Version 10 is sweet.
You're kidding, right? In the UK it's not the government that tells doctors how to practice, it's other doctors. It's also doctors and scientists who figure out what drugs are legal and illegal, and it's local authorities who determine how to spend their money. You seem to think it's guys in suits making all this stuff up, when clearly it's delegated to experts in the various affected sectors.
Forget it. You will never win this one. Explaining that it doesn't run *anything* other than what you tell it to, and that it's not the desktop version, is pointless. Their minds are made up.
It's not that simple, and you know it. You receive so many indirect benefits from the government, most of which you probably don't even realise. God damn your dumb.
You really should take some evening classes and brush up on your English. It's physically difficult to read what you have written in this thread. I hate to think how you speak!
The problem is the US doesn't "keep its shit" in its own country. It has been aiding Mubarak for 30 years. I guess if Egypt had been providing assistance (financial & military) to a dictator in the US for over 30 years, you might feel the need to ask Egypt to stop. But as you've clearly not thought your position through, and most likely based it on your somewhat-lacking knowledge of the world, you don't realise that.
It's not exactly strange to expect a local solution to a problem bolstered by excessive foreign meddling. As in your example, the Shah (installed by the CIA & SIS), a brutal dictator, was ousted by a home-grown nutter. If we insist on fucking people over, we shouldn't be surprised when they think it's normal and start doing it themselves. We set the trend, after all.

They have done, in Europe. The new German ICE trains have brakes with no moving parts, that are entirely regenerative.

The TGV is high-speed when on a suitable track. Very high-speed.

Damn that sucks. Fuckin' bitch.

Most of the CCTV in use in the UK is privately owned, and therefore not paid for by the government.

Get a fucking grip.
So hit the "mute" button, hose the sand out of your vagina, and get on with your life.

Unless you're his friend, "Jobs" would be more appropriate.

Even if you took a massive chunk out of it with a hammer, it would still be the 1kg reference, and will still be 1kg. That's the joke :)
Defending your obvious ignorance by making an attack on the European people as a whole? Classy.
