This whole embarrassing Evolution versus Intelligent Design debate is only occurring because government schools are not places of education, but places of imprisonment and indoctrination.
Why are "intellectuals" so frightened of free speech? If you're so smart, you could defeat your opponents with your piercing wisdom instead of shutting them up at the barrel of a gun, which is what laws are all about.
The First Amendment only applies to "journalists?"
How convenient.
Now SeeBS, NBC, ABC and CNN can go back to manufacturing memos to use against enemy politicians and broadcasting sensational lies when natural disasters occur.
You are not allowed to question the idea that the global climate, after billions of years of wild fluctuations, is now supposed to be static and should never change, and human activity caused it if it does. Never mind that the next Ice Age is thousands of years overdue, you must believe that global temperatures are going to rise linearly to infinity unless the United States signs the Kyoto Treaty, which is actually not designed to decrease global warming one once, but rather to shift economic activity to Third World countries. Kyoto is not a climate treaty, it is a social engineering plan designed to siphon wealth from evil rich countries like the United States and transfer it to the Robert Mugabes of this world.
The only "evidence" of global warming is...
Computer models. Closed-source computer models.
If those models were that good at predicting chaos, the climatologist-programmers would use that knowledge to write programs to predict the stock market and make their fortunes.
Michael Crichton's latest novel, "State of Fear," is about the global warming scam. Unlike most novels, it has a bibliography of all the arguments against global warming he references in the novel.
Follow the money. "Global warming" is a scam being perpetrated by one-world socialists who want to centralize control of all human activity in the name of fake science.
But the discrimination between what is and what isn't funded should be based on objective criteria, not on one man's personal religious beliefs.
How about basing the discrimination upon the personal religious beliefs of a large portion, if not the majority, of taxpayers who provide those funds and object to creating and destroying human embryoes?
A lot of people voted for George W. Bush precisely because of his personal religious beliefs.
Or perhaps you believe that the mythical Constitutional "separation of Church and State" should preclude anyone who is not an atheist from voting?
"And I now possess all this information simply because I know (from Karl Rove, via Matt Cooper) that Joseph Wilson's wife "apparently works at the agency on WMD issues.""
You haven't been keeping up with the story.
Even Joe Wilson is backpedaling.
The MSM can't get away with it's dirty tricks anymore. The Internet won't let them.
Do you really, really, believe that Bin Laden decided to spend several years planning the 9/11 attack, sacrifice several people, kill thousand of innocent people just because he wanted, without a reason?
Actually, he did it because Bill Clinton proved that the American people had no stomach for war casualties in the Somalia debacle. This made him believe that he could attack America with impunity.

I hate it and can't get it to go away.
There is no "uninstall" in the program group, and it does not show up in Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs.
I just want it to go away.
Deja vu all over again.
...were endangered by the Model T.
Sheesh.
...is to make everybody blind, deaf and paralyzed.
Anybody who can see, hear or move should be charged with a hate crime.
No way, Ho-Zay!
Agencies are never abolished just because they are obsolete, the same way laws are never repealed just because they are obsolete.
You just get more laws and more agencies.
It's the law.

Thank God we can all get back to normal.
This just gives more ammo to the "open source is communism" crowd, no small thanks to RMS.
Yes DRM and patents suck, but open source should mean open.
"Global warming" is faith-based science.

...about junk science.
Priceless.
...is tomorrow's meth.
I remember the first time I read about Ecstasy in Time magazine.
They thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Really?

Where do you get your statistics?
NARAL?
Abortion is so ugly that abortion supporters go insane when a photo of a Waring-blended fetus is shown in public.

Makes you proud, doesn't it?

Profiling would violate the rights of people who might actually be dumb-bomb wannabes.
It's much safer to violate the rights of people who are probably innocent.
You haven't been keeping up with the story.

Microsoft-only hardware, anyone?

He found out differently, much to his chagrin.
Seniority? I didn't know SCOTUS justices had a union rep?
Seriously, Clarence is MY choice. He actually considers the United States Constitution in his opinions, and not as a "living document."
As for Rehnquist, if he retires, that's not just a seat to fill, they need to fill the head seat as well
:^D
The obvious choice for Chief Justice is Clarence Thomas.
...because it is FREE.
I hadn't heard that OSX x86 was going to be free.
What did I miss?
"Patent Reform" is code for making it even worse than it already is.
Microsoft steals OTHER PEOPLES' intellectual property as a business plan, but God forbid that anybody touch theirs.
This isn't about architecture. It's just a one-page note about CPU chip sockets. Big deal.
No AMD sockets covered.
Does Socket A even exist if this article ignores it?
...not PhotoShop for DNA.
...because they last damn near forever.
LCDs, however, are good, because they are a lot more fragile and must be replaced a lot more often.
