So, he's basically only transferring the CHANGES, not the whole works. I basically do this for 2 rented servers at work. It rsync's maybe 30-40 gigs of data over a 3Mb cable line in about 2-3 hours. Works great.
I've had about 3 coke cans worth of caffeine since Feb '03, when I was hospitalized with an atrial heart fibralation. Basically the doc said my computer geek lifestyle was to blame - no exercise, lots of caffeine, and very little sleep. While I still don't get any exercise, the other two are no longer a problem. I think my point is this - you just need the propper motivation, and a visit to the hospital with a heart problem was more than enough for me.:)
Huh? Do you have the same Zaurus as I do? My 5500 has an excellent screen. I consider it to be one of the Z's strengths, not a weakness.
I do agree with your statement about the SL-5500 being crap compared to almost any other PDA - I consider my Zaurus to be a handheld computer, not a PDA. I love being able to code PyQt apps on the Zaurus itself and test the code right there on the Z anytime & anywhere I want. You can also do C/C++, Perl, and Java development. IMO, the Zaurus is the ultimate PDA-sized development tool.
Wow, thanks... I've been suspecting it was overheating. Time to clean out the fan I suppose...
The thing only has a 90Mhz ARM, I don't think Skype would run too well on it. I've seen Skype use 40% - 50% CPU on my 3Ghz P4 laptop.
Actually, I think Skype released or was planning to release Skype for the Zaurus, which did use an ARM...
And another thing - there was no mention of a mic or mic input. So unless they hack that on too...
He said he's using rsync.

It runs on lots of OS's, including *nixes. They just don't have binaries for other OS's yet. Just give 'em some time.

Oddly enough, EV1 themselves falls into this category. PHP.net's main site is hosted at EV1.
...is to never start, of course!
:)
