'The analysis doesn't change the chance of an asteroid hitting the Earth, points out astronomer Iwan Williams of Queen Mary University of London, UK. "But assuming that there are fewer large asteroids, the damage will be less," he says.'
So based on this paragraph at the bottom, there is no less chance of a hit, just less probability of major damage.
That shouldn't be a problem. Fertilizer is one thing, but fertilizer (ammonia nitrate) + fuel oil = bad news. So if they're found together bells should ring. Really I would think the scanning for the fuel oil would be the important thing, fertilizer alone is inert.
I just mean that billions of years of planet-wide biological waste is a very large number. Billions of years times billions of tons world-wide is a lot of dead plant and animal matter. I know it wont last forever though, which is probably why we're slated to run out of oil by 2050, so yes it is imperative for ecological and sociological reasons to get off our oil dependancy ASAP.
Even if this was way overestimated, 1 years worth of plants per day is a tiny amount when figured over the hundreds of millions of years of prehistoric plants that ever were. 365 years worth of plants used per year is a paltry sum when viewed in the right perspective.
should be the main source of your electrical draw. The PS should draw the same amount of power no matter what the rest of the system is doing. If your CPU is idle, it is just using less of the power from the PS, not from your household supply. Just think about it, would a dual or quad system cause a circuit breaker to trip if it suddenly went from 0% to 100%? No.
Of course telemarketers heard the toll of their death knell, challenges like this are to be expected. The same will happen if and when any spam legislation gets enacted nationwide as well.
Well at least 1 of those points is losing validity... according to the webpage of the manufacturer, the car can be charged from dead to full power in about an hour.
Check out the link posted above. The best is the video of the electric car out drag-racing a 96 corvette.
Opera is based on Mozilla, which is open source from Netscape.
As for the plugin patent, this could affect any program that uses plugins, Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro to name a few for graphics artists.
I think that the staggering high cost and unreliability of their software coupled with the dot com crash made a bunch of CIO's rush out and adopt Linux without hiring enough qualified people to support the environment. Net result: poor security in the form of bad apache configurations and no firewalls to protect them.
I see this essentially as being M$ Word's grammar checking. The papers will still need to be graded for content, but for elementary and highschool papers quality and content are on about equal footing.
Which is why we don't use it at my company.
Does this mean that SCO owns NetWare too?

Heh that's pretty funny, it looks like that piece of s*** is spamming other spammers. Ahh, irony, we meet again.
Agenda setters, not most influential people in technology. The title of the article is misleading.
That's about the size of your un-clenched hand. I want one.

Whenever idiots in DC pass some sweeping law, it's nice to know the courts have a decent chance of overturning it.
You're captain for this flight will be the 10 year-old boy in row 20 seat A playing MS Flight Sim...
Oops you're right, my bad.
