I thought closed loop combined with glycol (which can be brought below freezing) improved efficiency, not reduced it...
The electric pump can run less with a closed loop system because glycol has a greater temperature range. You're getting more heat per gallon per minute.
Mod parent up. Grandparent is complaining because OSX doesn't behave like Windows.
The dead give away was when he said "maximize a window". The Green + button is not maximize! Clicking it simply tries to display the contents of the window without scroll bars.
Why on earth would you want a single window to take up your entire screen anyway??
I had a similar approach... went to a cheap community college for my first year while working full time, then transfered 100% of my credits into a private school.
Continued working all through school, got my employer to pickup my tuition bill. Got my Bachelors in 2004 with only 10k of debt!
Because then you would have to manage your music in TWO places. The meta data, and the file names.
Having a library fixes this. You manage the meta data and iTunes manages the library (files) for you.
I've been using iTunes since version 1.0. This feature alone was a godsend, I was driving myself insane, neurotically renaming every single file to match the ID3 tags.
DVCPRO is also compressed, but its a working format.
And the cameras I'm talking about are not recording to DVD, they're recording to mini hard drives or SSDs.
Most consumer video cameras now record to some type of disk instead of tape. Not having tape means that you no longer have to capture video at 29.997 frames per second, thus eliminating the need for the better performing (but more expensive) FireWire port.
And so the cameras now have USB2 and no FireWire.
Do you complain about your car not having a replaceable engine? No - it lasts the life of the car. When it wears out, you buy a new car or have a mechanic (if you're not capable) replace the engine.
As if its difficult to find a dock connector cable. There are hundreds of millions of them out there and the spec/pinout is openly published. The iPod dock connector is so ubiquitous, car manufacturers are building cars with them built in. How many cars can you order with a USB connector?
Yes, the mono bluetooth is annoying.
WTF? You can use any 1/8 headset that doesn't have an oversized fat connector with the first gen iphone's recessed jack (including bose noise cancelling headphones and sennheisers). The 3G iphone has a flush jack. The first android phone doesn't even have a 1/8" headphone jack at all.
iTunes isn't available for Linux. Neither is photoshop. Cry me a river. Next you'll bitch about it not supporting ogg.
Like what??
Yes it has limitations. But calling it "ridiculously restrictive" is ridiculous in itself. It's sold more apps than any cell phone marketplace ever. Some develeopers are raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars PER MONTH. Yeah, the app store is so ridiculously restrictive it's going to collapse any day now...
Take your ball and go home. If you don't like Apple's rules or the design of the iPhone, don't buy an iPhone.
Fragile? Where did you hear that? The iPhone is by far the sturdiest phone I've ever owned, and that includes the construction oriented "rugged" phones that Nextel makes. Stop with your FUD already.
It has a QWERTY keyboard. If a touch screen keyboard isn't "proper", refer to #8.
The camera CAN record video and there are FREE applications in that overly restrictive app store that let you record video with it. Just because the built in photo application doesn't record video, doesn't mean the functionally doesn't exist.
Nope. You can get 8 or 16GB of space. If you need more, don't buy it.
What's wrong with a capacitive touchscreen? Have you ever even used an iPhone?
I'm surprised you didn't bitch about no MMS support so you can get billed to send pictures over the proprietary cell network instead of just emailing them.
The situation with Podcaster and MailWrangler quite frankly sucks and no sane person will disagree with that. Apple's stance on this completely sucks. All we can do is complain and hope they'll listen. Generate enough bad press and something is bound to happen...
I second that. I use their mouse + the Apple Bluetooth keyboard (which is nice because it's small) with my Mac mini which acts as my media center. Couldn't be happier.
That's precisely why I believe that an auto's safety / crash rating should take into consideration the impact and damage it will cause when smashing into an averaged size car.
What's the number that counts? The number of people injured in the vehicle, or the number of people injured in the accident?
That would rightfully give smaller lighter vehicles a better safety rating and larger trucks & SUVs a penalty as the severity & casualty of an accident (as a whole) involving a heavy vehicle and a light vehicle will be much higher than accident between two light vehicles.
Why do you think 6 million iPhones are about to hit eBay?
The iPhone 2.0 OS will be available to us iPhone 1.x owners too. There isn't any 3G coverage where I live so all that I'm going to be missing out on is GPS.
I've replaced the battery in my 1st gen mini twice by myself.
the company i ordered the battery from ($9 btw) even included the tools to open the mini's case without damaging it.
This reminds me of a situation I encountered with a customer who's security department banned the use of SSH because "they couldn't see what was going on" in the tunnel.
As horrible as it may sound, unless the iPhone can accept pushed mail from an exchange server - any hope of breaking into the business market is all but dashed.

We're building a basic project management / task management tool called ProjectLink.
Its currently functional as a task management tool (it even has an API) and is free to use, all we ask for is your feedback.
We are working very hard to build in native quote/invoice creation right from the tasks to integrate with our InvoiceLink and OrderLink systems.
Almost right. Oracle owns InnoDB, which is the useful part of MySQL.
When was the last time you got a cheeseburger from Wendy's that looked like the one they advertise on TV?
You forgot to mention the Mobile version of OSX which is now in millions of pockets around the world.

Now I'm up to my eyeballs with two mortgages :)

I tried using chokes directly on my desktop speaker cables with no avail. The speaker's internal amplifier is probably picking up the interference.
I wish I could find a solution to this, it drives insane!

You should be using BlueTooth for your cordless mouse and firewire for your external drive ;)
Holy christ, why am I feeding the troll.

And I already drive a solar powered car. Because when you stop and think about it, all of the energy on Earth comes from the Sun.

Just yesterday I was looking for a song that I wanted to buy. It's not available on iTunes Plus (DRM Free) or the Amazon MP3 store.
I found a copy of the whole album used on Amazon for $.96.
So I legally bought the whole copy protection free album for less than the cost of the single DRM laden song.
I felt kinda odd because I haven't purchased a physical CD in over 10 years.
