Hopefully this will mean more pressure on micro$oft and other software companies rather than more internet controls which may be abused. Im not paranoid, no really im not.
My uni in the UK has had a book exchange program for years. Its got a simple and easy to use interface and is very successfull, its called a notice board.
The article states that this "18 year old" is the author, but later on it talks about how he was "observed testing" which all sounds a bit dubious. Assuming he is the author I have very little sympathy, virus writers need to be accountable for their actions. If however he is just been made a scapegoat......
1. I like choice its of of the many reasons im a big linux fan.
2. For most people new to linux KDE or GNOME are both easy enough to pick up and use, as these are the defaults for most large 'desktop' distros either should do the job.
3. The biggest problem with newbies not adapting linux is the 'its not windows' factor. My mom has used mozilla and linux without knowing it. When I told her it was linux she started to lose the plot.
Sorry but an encrypted file system may be used for other reasons than that mentioned. I would welcome a HOWTO on encrypted file systems, especially due to the RIP act in the UK.
Just another reason the freenet project www.freenetproject.org needs all the help it can get.
At the risk of sounding paranoid maybe western 'democracies' will oneday need this sort of technology.
To go with...
McDonalds coffee: "May be hot."
Ready meals: "Remove plastic before cooking"
Nitol (sleep tablets) "May cause drowsyness"
Laxitives "exessive consumption may produce laxitive effect."
The list is endless.

Just in case anyone is interested.
Genius idea! Could also be good for picking up case screws etc.
I still need one that can go up and down stairs, and clean behind my servers on the floor.
