  1. Re:What the fuck? on Doctors Silencing Online Patient Reviews Via Contract · · Score: 1

A contract's validity depending on the behavior of other actors is fundamentally unfair.

    So are Trusts.

  2. Business Model - Profit! on Facebook Vs. Spammers, Round Two · · Score: 1

Looks like facebook found a way to finally turn a profit.

Good thing they gave the peace prize to Al Gore then. After all, slide shows go a long way toward promoting peace than Pacifism.

  4. Re:Thats OK. on Obama's Mobile Phone Records Compromised, Shared · · Score: 1

Personally, I'd be more interested in Bill Clinton's records. I wonder how many late-night booty calls he made. This is why we need government transparency!

  6. Re:Hope it works out... more Netsol chicanery... on Network Solutions Advertises On Your Sub-Domains · · Score: 1

Actually that's just how domain transfers work. You get a year tacked on when you transfer to a new registrar.

  7. Go the opposite route on Teaching Engineers to Write? · · Score: 1

In many of my courses, it was always "you need to write at least x number of pages."

One professor I had, though, severely _limited_ us in the amount we could write. It was the first and only time I had a class where I actually had to think about every sentence's relevance and trim accordingly.

  8. Intelligent Design on African Catfish Hunts On Land · · Score: -1, Flamebait

It's not evolution, it's intelligent design!

God simply designed this one to be more extensible than his other systems!

  9. Re:Some registrars will protect you on New Rules Make Domain Hijacking Easier · · Score: 2, Informative

Transfer requests come from outside registrars... This system wouldn't work when it comes to transfers.

  11. Re:Hrmm on Student Fights University Over Plagiarism-Detector · · Score: 1

You realize professors and such get paid for this, right? If they don't like what they have to do, go get another job.

  12. Re:Why South Korea? on South Korea Grapples With Online Gaming Addicts · · Score: 1

Because in America, they don't have professional Gamers in music videos. They don't even really have professional gamers.

  13. Politicians previous employment? on RIAA Calls Settlements Proof that Education is Working · · Score: 1

If you look at most politicians, you'll see that most were lawyers before being elected.

If you look at all the lawsuits out there, you'll notice the big winners are the lawyers. Why would lawyers want to change a system where they profit in a disgustingly large amount?
