More information generates more information, how many more people have access to information more information is generated by them, MIT students will also win in the end.
Most information we are tougth are in books, the professors just force us to learn that, the way they do that and your colegues average capacity (how much the professor can demand from them) is what makes a university different from another.
I stopped reading/watching news because they talk lots of stuff that i don't want to know: wars, terrorism, crimes, tragedies,... because they aren't related to my life.
Most of the news related to my life/job are on slashdot. The only tv show that i watch are finance talks, because they resume everything is going on the finance world. And ocassionaly visit some sport website to view my team results or when the next game is.
But for more in depth information i read books (get them in the library), their information is much better than the internet: all in one place, much better quality and very directed for learning.
Don't care about sending emails, it's a very small organization to care about, i bet showing up on slashdot was the maximum thing they've done until now.
I think an idea would be put the processors in a auxiliar board 90 degrees to the motherboard. One each side of the board, with the pins connected to it, so the heatsink side would be free for cooling.
BitTorrent package is avaible only on slack 9.1 (current/extra) and it needs python 2.3 (only avaible on 9.1) to work, i think that BitTorent use should have been better planned
A solution would be the use of ip classes, something like dns servers, each server would be responsible of an ip subclass, so anyone wanting to check an ip would go to that specific server.
They just putted the antenna so high to avoid earth curvature problems and bought an amplifier not avaible to the general public. Don't see a lot of inovations here, but props for them doing that if it was with that fog in the pictures.
The memory speed is the same but the latency is much lower. The latency has been partialy remedy by the prefetch instructions (pentium 4 and xp 1800+) but it's still a useful invention since you can't prefetch everything.
What other claimants to first flight have failed in is in providing convincing documentation of their achievements Santos Dumont, the brazilian in question, flew with his airplane 14-bis, at a scheduled time, proposed by the scientific association of paris and the aero club of paris. There's photos of it and several withness. I was not a unique high wind situation like Wrigth brothers, the aero club scheduled a time and he repeated the flight, just like the scientifc method demands. They made no further progress, and nothing ever came of or was based on their designs. Santos Dumont created better airplanes and after created Demoiselle, a much better airplane he retired. And his airplanes were the base of the european airplane industry. http://www.thefirsttofly.hpg.ig.com.br/ pioneer2.ht m http://www.rudnei.cunha.nom.br/FAB/eng/santos-d umo nt.html or google for "Santos Dumont"
Navy jets don't take off just with their power but after take off they keep flying just with their power.
The Wright brothers couldn't repeat that flight, so that wasn't accepted by the world's scientific society that recognizes Santos Dumont the creator of the airplane. But "if you (holywood) say i lie thousand of times it becames true"

Here in Brazil, one of the major reasons the government is trying to push OSS is to support and develop (evolve) the softwares locally, generating jobs here (less unemployement) and sending less profits abroad (less deficit).
Not the same situation (profit vs profit-deprivation), but similar (companies vs regular people) is also threated different by the society. In my country we even have different laws, if someone in the street sells you the "statue of liberty" he'll be sued of fraud, but if a company advertises a product that doesn't do what was advertised, let's say a car advertisment that implicit (or not) says it makes you attractive to beautiful women, the company won't be sued at all or it will be another "crime" (deceptive advertisment), which has much less severe punishments than fraud.

Just works with small strings or something like that. Example: www.caquinhacomcebola.com don't return anything
That 20% efficient is related to all the light the panel receive or just the spectrum of the light that the panel is able to handle?

About focusing uv, i've already seen people doing that (with old satellite dishes and mirrors) but that wouldn't generate excessive heat?

BTW, why the links to the google news isn't posted with the article itself, it's aways posted and tagged informative.
Why some article go to the front page just because it happens on India, gps have been used in trains for a long time.
They might be using md5 because some p2p clients (like edonkey) provide that info *before* you download the file.
