Google is a great search engine that provides a FREE service - searching. It's like a great news TV station - if they are not subscription based, they HAVE TO advertise. Yahoo and everyone else is doing it. I hope that Google provides a subscription based, add free search just for you. But I know you will NOT pay up.

Google triumphed over all the others. MSN is still nothing... worse portal than yahoo, worse news than any other, worse serach than all the crap combined. So how would MS pull this out? MS will fail. Google is only one of the piranas that are taking them down. Linux is another one, cheap hardware does a lot of biting too.

People, please don't delude themselves. Magazines make their FORTUNES by selling to the highest bidder. What do they sell? - the public opinion, of course. Fortune sold you to MS. It's as simple as that. There is a concerted attempt to tarnish Google in the media - as of lately. Every stupid article is dutifully reported by yours own, long-sold-out /. Fortunes, fortunes... Google would not sold out to MS though and old-Billy-Boy is cranking up the slime machine. Very very simple. Very, very boooring.
BTW, if Billy indexes my hard drive, it will not be mine any more...

What's the point of this? Windows is cheaper. In fact RH recomended... Windows. In effect trying to cut off the other Linux distros and give their share to the Borg. Mnadrake is a perfect home system, issues regular bug-fixes and is not a broken, unsupported piece of test-ware as Fedora. Mandrake is actually better than RHEL in many respects. Some drivers are lacking but these are few and far between and are comming along nicely.

It will never be usable enough for an average user, nor will it compete with their more expensive RHEL. RH is telling us to use Windows. They made RH more expensive than it for home users. They have to get wiped out and something else installed on their place.

The only reason Linux is needed is prcisely to replace Windows. (Even when replacing another *nix, the question is "Do we go with Windows or Linux")

OK, they haven't stopped it, they stoped the support for it. Those who don't need support, don't need Red Hat to begin with. We'll see a mass migration to Mandrake, Suse and Debian in that order. Fedora is MUCH worse that any of those. Would you consider riding a donkey just because because you car manufacturer stopped support for your car? No, you go to another, more responsible one.

You just don't drink and drive. It's as simple as that. The court could have ordered them to change the temperature in one of the previous cases but instead the trial lawers kept raking the company. It doesn't matter how much money Mcdonalds have, what's next - sueing makers of coffee-machines because they produce hot coffee? Coffee comes out hot - weather you like it or not.
