Three comments to make.
a) Real Player sucks and should be avoided.
Anyone who'd play oggs in Real is missing the point.
b) AAC is in no way lossless and is of lower quality
IMHO than Ogg.
c) AAC is not even close to CD quality. And I'd be
willing to bet you don't know what jitter is.
Since everything left of Jesse Helms is called socialism in the U.S. these days, that would make
me a proud socialist Canadian.
And marginalized would be when your budget debt is
half a trillion dollars this year. Whereas in socialist
Canada, we had a balanced budget.
Let's hear it for socialism.
No, the major stumbling block is that most right
thinking Canadians have no intention of becoming
Americans. No matter what the perceived advantages
might be. That's a definite NO.
Just like Puerto Rico, eh? Piss off.
Generally speaking, the configure, make and make install is handled by emerge.
If you would have gotten it to work, you would have found that out. Things such as configure options and USE flags are built into the ebuild.
With etc-update you can choose what files to change
or leave. It works quite well, once you read the docs.
Recently purchased an IBM T40 laptop, this was on the bag it came in:
"Important Read Before Removing: Please read the accompanying license agreements carefully before using the programs included with this system. These agreements detail your rights, obligations, and warranties for the software included with this sytem. By using the programs you agree to the terms of these agreements. If you do not accept the agreements included with this system, do not use the programs. Instead, promptly return the system for a full refund."
Five minutes with a Gentoo install disk using cfdisk and problem solved!
By return the system, they didn't mean the whole laptop, did they?
Nice to know that my hard earned tax dollars are going to support the
richest company in the world.
Those bastards.
Works great for me on my desktop and laptop.
Maybe you should try reading the manual again.
Looks like I got last post too (woohoo)
Do I detect jealousy?
My first first post. Yeah, gimp's great.
I'm sure it would still greatly reduce the time it takes to boot up now, which is well over a minute.
Put the kernel in the bios. It's quite doable, so why aren't they doing it? http://www.linuxbios.org/
Look at it in another way: saving money.
Political Capital? Oh frick, another catch phrase has been hatched.

Since when is a $455 billion deficit a "huge surplus". Who do you call moron? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._budget_deficit

the word "homeland" makes me think it's Germany in 1938.
And how you become an expert is the same as with computers, you first get an old one and tear it apart. Bonus points for putting it back together.
I thought it was because the Mossad stole all the answers.

Guess it's been at least four days since you spelled figure. And pray tell, if it isn't skill, what is it?
Well, at least you can be proud of the fact you have the skills to post to slashdot. Some people can't even do that. Try XP.

I'll complain that the bonehead is still President, of course.
Reverse engineer it? GNUSims?
I stopped subconsciously relieving myself when I was 6 years old.
I thought that God had "prior art" on the nipple interface. One of my favorites.
You must mean the IBM TrackPoint/ClitMouse.
