the idea is not ok, it requires every DNS server to have access to a table of every.* that is registered. the current system is stressed enough with each TLD resolving differnt and only needing a small central repository of TLD's
because it would break DNS horribly. it requires a single group of centalized servers be looked at to resolve any domain name rather than just to resolve a new TLD. the entore point of the current sytem of URL's with a tld is to avoid this kind of crap.
well since the sytem would be running massive pipes all around the country there is enough of an infrastructure investment to justify some of the desert areas having distillers installed
i would love to have one of them i don't personally care about the sound. i have NEVER seen one get clogged by anything remotely belonging in a toilet, not even small amounts of paper towels.
if some way were devised to reduce harm from contamination, perhapse using excess floodwater for irrigation and other non-drinking non-bathing purposes such a system would be a great idea, possibly use passive solar distillation to convert a percentage into drinking water
without the oil trap used in the no fluch models do you have any idea how bad that would stink. even with just one use after a few minutes urine starts to smell pretty bad.
you can't use flood waters for consumption, far too contaminated often with things that require distillation not simple filtration or treatment to make safe to drink. unless YOU want to be drinking gasoline and motor oil with your water

IIRC the high pressure public toilets use less water but are not used in homes because they require higher capacity source pipes for a powerful burst and because they are noisy.
that is what setting an override bit is for. if you want the system to be able to store and output "impossible" values for a type of stored data allow for override. don't just stuff it into the system or set the system to allow all "impossible" data
without an opressive government the corporations wouldn't have a stick to wield against the people.

The use of OpenDX because (apparently) OpenGL is "just too damn slow" was interesting - but if OpenDX is so damn good, why hasn't anyone maintained the code in the past three years? (I'd love to see OpenGL being given some serious competition, but that won't happen if the code is left to rot.)
Perhapse openDX is significantly more complex to write but executes more efficiently for the job at hand.
go in with hidden cameras recording and broadcasting on the web, get a friendly municipality to loan out a "Live" unit. and set up the test to fire off a shiatload of "unauthorized" tests right at the end and post them online instantly.
beyond that, LAME increases demand for hardware that plays mp3 files. more demand for mp3 players means more money for Thomson. going after free mp3 encoders just makes more people use the built in "free" wma encoder and thomson makes no money off wma.
i have an athlon XP running at 1.3 ghz and it spanks my brother's 2.6 ghz celery any day. i would presume that pentium would be similar in performance relative to the celeron

who's side are we on again?

yea i noticed that after posting, went to do some research on openDX and it seems to be completely different in purpose from openGL.

it doesn't count as a problem if it gets fixed before release
i am certain firefox did do that last time i visited a self-signed site.
you have no clue waht compression is. in order to compress the signal to the upper end of the volume range information must be lost.
