    how about having three versions of every config file, foo.con and foo.conf.good and foo.conf.stable .good would be written automatically when a normal shutdown is initiated, while stable would be written manually when the user or administator is satisfied with the current system (manually triggered for writing from good, not manually created for each conf file) then if the system fails to start properly (or to be manually triggered during a boot sequence if the system can't get far enough to figure it out on i't own, the readconf utility would give each tool the .good or .stable version of it's .conf the main problem with this approach would be each utility would have to be recompiled to ask the system's readconf tool for it's conf file rather than reading it directly

    Or is there a way to incorporate this into a system similar to the internet as we know it and make my home connection to my bank/paypal/yahoo shopping more secure? no there isn't, all QC does is provide YASPTP (Yet Another Secure Point To Point) transmission scheme, spending lots of money to do what OTP or even most PSK sytems can do today, but more leet and more expensive with a .0000001% improvement in number of global extintions it will take to crack

    no it's not relatively the same, DVD gave many new features, higher quality, rapid seek times and non-degrading reading all in a user friendly package. UMD gives jack shit in new features there already are portable DVD players UMD movies are going to be another ATRAC/MD disaster.

    i'm 20 as well, and i feel old every day, hell the "kids today" don't even know what autoexec.bat is for or why you would need a floppy disk to install an operating system. many don't know what a zip drive is and most could't recognize a parralell cable if you smacked 'em in the face with it. Damn do i feel old. pretty soon they won't know what a serial or PS/2 port is and sure as hell won't know what a full sized DIN connector is for or what an AT motherboard/PSU is.

    which is why he is using a lawsuit instead, lawsuits and criminal prosecutions have about the same punishments for corporations, and lawsuits are easier to win (preponderance of evidence vs. reasonable doubt)

    actually with vonage it should be simple, when you create an account you input your address, then if you call 911 it forewards that address to the dispatcher
