    Another thing that helps a lot is using always passphrases instead of passwords. "theBLACKcat!" is as strong as "gm4JIsdf39PO".

    not even close to being equivilant, the first, being three english words (assume vocabulary of 10,000) results in 8.00 e12 combinations (10,000*2)^3[caps or not caps]

    while the other password gives 3.23 e 20 combinations 62^12 [letters*2 + 10 digits] if we allow the other symbols on the top row of the keyboard it goes up to 5.00 e22 combinations

    the beauty of sparc systems is how well they perform at 98-99% load, a wintel box running at 98% is going to be sluggish as hell because too many resources have to wait for each other, with a SPARC machine 98% load will run about as nicely as 38% load

    if all they see is console work they will fear your skills, if they see you working in a graphical environment they will assume they can do it too and you are just around to save them time.

    the point of making it extensable is that tools that don't use a piece of extended data in the file would be able to work around it easily, and have instructions whether or not that data can be preserved after editing and what conditions will make it no longer valid, such as white balance data would probably be useless after editing the image, but an ID3 style Photographer tag could remain, but a digital signature would be marked to remove if edited. data about position in a sequence could be kept after editing but not after resizing. many things can be done with a semi-standard much better than a bunch of proprietary systems

    iNet Tabs was IIRC the first mshtml based browser with tabbing, a bit more primative than newer tabbed browsers but i loved it at the time.

    sure it can, by representing the data as 3 times as many pixels, but each pixel represented is only one color

    actually I have played around with game builders that were more than capable of building something comparable to Z1 and Z2 (Z2 was my favorite of all time)

    what your vast intellect fails to understand is that the population of all heterosexual marriages in the united states is VASTLY Heterogeneous. there are people with 10+ divorces and couples married for 60 years. you cannot assign the population statistics to any given member of the population unless it is a homogeneous population

    CD-R was around 10-20 per disc when it came out IIRC. CDRW was 100, DVD R was aroiund $80

    any new optical format will be expensive at first.

    And what happens if a crime is committed in International Waters? What about a guarantee of workplace safety and anti-discrimination policy?

    Crimes would be dealt with, descrimination laws would be nonexistant and workplace safety would probably be weak unless it was so bad it fell under the category of crime.

    when has any provision of the windows EULA been enforced against a click-wrap user that was not merely a restatement of what copyright law provides for already? now volume license deals and site licenses are real contracts with binding obligations and such, as software licensing should be.
