    actually the "national Debt" is owed to AMERICANS, in the form of Gov't Bonds, we don't owe money to other countries, but many do owe US.

    Everquest does something similar on a larger scale, you pay every month and you pay for the game and you pay for the expansions, and it's still fucking buggy, the idea of micropayments for games will just encourage shitty programming.

    how about an image preprocessor which strategically lowers image quality by alktering colors and shapes in order to improve the amount that it could be compressed when made into a PNG.

    A) Invest it in stocks, allowing other companies in unrelated fields to grow and hire people
    B) Put it in the bank, allowing more money to be lent out to people who want to spend more than they currently have, putting more money in the hands of whoever provides the expensive good or service which is desired.
    C) Spend it (on houses, cars, private jets, etc.) putting more money in the hands of those who produce houses, cars, private jets, etc.

    not at all, if you took a screen shot the resulting image would be the same, an image is simply a two dimensional array (or compressed equivilant) of RGB values, copying that array results in an exact copy.
