    The cyclists in Leidem are maniacs. They don't pay attention to other traffic, violate all traffic rules and sometimes seem suicidal in the way they behave in traffic. That's why truckdrivers sometimes stop for bycicles. They want to keep their truck clean.
    I know this to be true because I'm one of the cyclists there.

    I don't think natural meat will dissappear that soon. We would still need cows to produce milk, and chicken to produce eggs.
    Another factor would be the third-country farmers. It's easy to grow chicken or pork in your backyard and have your children take care of them, but it would be a huge investment to replace that living stock with machinery and the kids with an operator.

    most people don't know what a server or cloud is. they don't even care. all they want is that they can find their documents.
    i guess it will go like this: "if i store it on the cloud/server/whatever, it's not always there, but if i put it in 'My Documents', it's always available. so i'll store it on 'My Documents""

    in your eloquence you seem to forget something very obvious. simply create a shortcut in the start menu that starts a little program that 1) asks the user waht s/he wants, 2) downloads over ftp/bittorrent/whatever and 3) installs the browser of choice.
    it's a matter of attitude. you will only find a solution for a problem if you want the problem solved. if you don't want it solved, then you won't put in the effort that is often neccessary.

    do you really expect others to work more than 40 hours/week, even if their contract is for 40? i love my job, but i also have a life. that's why my contract is 36 hours a week. if there's a good reason then i don't mind working more for a while, but it should not be structural.
    usually, overtime is the consequence of bad planning or insufficient resources.
