    Some of the high end additive manufacturing machines are incredible in capability, unfortunately they cost upwards of $500-700k. Out of the realm of most normal users, perfect for suppliers of low volume expensive good sthough.

    You still have to procure the raw material, the parts which can't be made via direct manufacturing, and assemble the car.

    The material used in the stratasys printers is ABS, it's a production grade resin. We have two of these rapid prototyping machines at work, and what they can do is amazing. The biggest problem with these devices is that they have fairly low tolerances usually around .005"(.1mm) and contoured part surfaces are fairly rough. That can be fixed with a little sanding/subtractive machining though.

    The capability to think something up and have it in your hands within hours without involving skilled machinists is incredible.

    Try out the Epic 4g, I got one recently and the keyboard is great. Not perfect, some keys could be rearranged and god knows why they put a smiley key instead of a .com key, but it's good otherwise.

    You may have read him, but I don't think you understood what he was trying to imply. Exponential growth is impossible due to a limited amount of resources, it doesn't matter if people understand it or not. Regardless the 5% growth rate we experience is not exponential.

    You're giving too much credit to the OP.

    Google might be good now, but there is no promise they will always remain so when the leadership changes.

    Maybe 200 years from now people will curse us for allowing Google into existence. They might wonder how Google could have ever been a benevolent organization rather than the tool of dictators. In fact, they might never know that's how it was at the turn of the 21st century.

    Its a manifestation of human tribalism, they're not part of the FOSS/tech group, they're sheep(insert other deragotory term).

    Besides most geeks seem to not place much value on design, they care more about raw specs.

    Baldur's Gate I & II, Freespace II, Quake III, Half Life 2, Half Life 1, Fallout I-III, Final Fantasy V-VII, Final Fantasy Tactics, Chrono Trigger, EVE Online, World of Warcraft, Warcraft I-III, Starcraft I&II, Civ I-V, Counter Strike, Call of Duty:Modern Warfare, Falcon 4.0, Gran Turismo series, Live for Speed, Street Fighter Series, Wipeout, Master of Orion, Star Control II, Free Lancer, GTAI-IV, Diablo I&II, Dance Dance Revolution, In The Groove, Super Mario series, Starfox, Megaman series.

    That's off the top of my head, those are all games I've wasted too much time with in my life.

    Do you have stats to back up your case? I've encountered few if any cheaters in WoW or SCII.
