Fox News is fair and balanced, it just that your use to watching left slanted news like CNN. It's kind of like wearing blue tinted glasses and saying that the colors aren't right when you take the glasses off.
This will probably get moded as Troll, Offtopic, or Flamebait, but I really don't care. At least I have the guts to post logged in.
Which right is being violated? Being fingerprinted is hardly an invasion of privacy (much less so than Jet-Blue releasing passenger info to the army).
I was forced to get my fingerprint, photo and signature taken in order to get a driver's license, under your definition wouldn't that be violating my rights as well?
Actually, it's my experience that they'll just keep bombarding you with ISS and windows exploit attempts no matter what server and OS you use. They're SCRIPT KIDDIES, they can't even spell Apache.
P.S. As I typed this my server log is showing 3 different IPs that are running a full barrage of ISS and Windows exploit attemps at my Apache/Linux server. So ya, they're dumb. Oh and just to be funny I went on my linux box and tried to send them a windows messenger message, work on 2 of them:)
That wouldn't be a good idea, I could imagine someone having a leak and the heat from their overclocked processor ignighting fumes from a leak...KABOOM!
Regulation means that even though your local telephone company PAID FOR AND BUILT the lines going to your house, they have to let other companies use THEIR equipment nearly for free and at a loss.
Mod this guy up, he's trying to be funny, see the sarcasm? "from the PRC" I think he's refering to the recent (major) problems MicroSoft has had with Windows. But what do I know? =)
I agree, I took driver's education about 8 months ago and let me tell you, there were people who can't drive if someone held a gun to their head that passed the test. It's disturbing to hear from people I know who think it's ok to go 10mph over the speed limit, then they bitch because a cop was "picking on them."
As for taking a course to get on the internet that's just stupid. The government has no place in telling me what mediums I can and can't use to exercise my first ammendment rights.
Besides, we'd all be better off from worms/viruses/trojans if we just ran linux. I do.
I could not agree with you more. I have downloaded a few songs to see if I liked the artist, and if I did I went and bought the song.
I was watching cartoon network when a Daft Punk music video came on, I liked the music so I downloaded a couple of their songs, liked them, bought the CD, burned my own songs for better quality.
I fear that if the RIAA gets their way I might not even be able to burn my own music to MP3/OGG.
Oh, and if you're wondering, I don't keep the music on my system for very long, usually just until the CD is burned.
It's ok my AC buddy, he's probably also the type of person who didn't think it odd that Sadam had a general in charge of a soap/chemical factory.

or Firebird, or konqueror, or any other browser I have on my linux box.
You really seem to be against this, perhaps you have something to hide. Other than that I don't see why you should have a problem with fingerprinting.

"and an armed insurrection of Verisign's headquarters is a bit inconvenient just to get a couple lines of code fixed."
Actually, I think it's a great idea, I'll go get my shotgun...oh wait that was CS, damnit.

Oh, sorry about that, I ate the steak...
You get free cable? I had to go tap into my neihbor's to get free cable....uh not that I did....
Shouldn't that be -1, flamebait?
