From the article in reference to Hunter: The Reckoning: "..... Also, I don't particularly like World of Darkness (as an RPG system). It's way too emo. So, expect this movie to be no better than Underworld...."
Where does this guy get off calling World of Darkness emo?!?!!?!? I play the World of Darkness systems all the time, and I don't cut my wrist and wish for death and blast life... Maybe he meant that its way to elmo? Cause we laugh a lot playing, socializing, and having a good time, though we don't tickle ourselves.. Some people need to get a life and realize that not ALL RPGS are the works of satan.
That is a VERY Good point. If a two to almost maybe five second ad came up, I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. Its worth it, just to keep said place up, and I honestly believe sponsors would go for it, knowing that EVERY single play someone does, their two to five second ad will show... Then you also have the option of "Paid Subscription" to avoid the ads. This becomes a win/win/win situation for the consumer/business/sponsor.
I remember the mass Net Send era.. where people could make/buy programs that did a mass net send command to bulk ip addresses.... Before I turned net send off, I saw a few ad's come up, on programs that disable getting ads like that. All it did was turn the service for net send off, or just run a program to filter it... It was pretty simple, but on the same token, anti-spammers will find themselves violating what they are advertising to fight to get the word out... Its sad...
I completely agree. I plan to raise my kids in Ohio and let them have the first few years in a public school, then pull them out before they reach that age that others will be just completely immature cause their parents don't teach them right from wrong. ECOT is really a great thing to have in Ohio for the simple fact that it will keep their self esteem high and allow them to excel without the interruption of others in the classroom.
To be very honest with any comments like this, and comments that bash schools online, everyone should take the time to visit a site called Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow. If it wasn't for this possibility, students that made a few bad mistakes, young teenage parents, and socially impaired individuals that I knew growing up would have just ended up dropping out all together and getting their GED. Instead, they got their high school diploma.
To anyone who thinks it isn't possible to sit in front of a computer at home to go to school, and actually learn, my sister was one of those people who graduated from Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow. I have never seen such a determined school in all my years of moving, relocating, and some REALLY bad experiences with normal schools. When I graduated back in the day, Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow JUST Came out, and I wish every day it would have came out a few years earlier.
The importance of having the option to elect out of a public school system, and to go to school online, is the best thing that has ever came to Ohio. For those individuals that can't handle the daily routine of public school systems, and the people who needed the extra help and support, that basically ALL School systems should cater to anyways, ECOT Is there for them here. It is a real school in Columbus, and they even have events, field trips, prom, graduation, and support staff that will work with you for at least several years after you graduate, to make sure you have someone to go to, if you needed that help.
We all know what kind of things happen in a public school system, and we know what can happen in a private school system. People can be so mean at times, and can knock other peoples self-esteem to no end. With ECOT, the people that I knew that used it, had their confidence boosted up, their self-esteem up, and they admitted to learning more at ecot than they ever did.
So think about that, when any of you take cracks at a Electronic Classroom... Cause if you farted around, they took their learning experience seriously, and normally you were suspended for not doing your homework and course work online. They were the only people to actually care for those, who felt they didn't fit in, and lost their self-esteem when others knocked it down. All Electronic Online Classrooms should be molded like ECOT.
Nah, Next week we will show you how to put the style back into your life with different colors of arthritis deep heating rub.And if thats not enough, we then show you how to mod/pimp your mobile scooter, so you will be the talk of the senior citizens home. (I am by far really a nice person, and I respect my elders, but some of these comments actually have a point about this article.)
I have to admit.. I feel as though I lost about 10 I.Q. Points... You know, about 40 other stories were probably submitted about the time this came in... and for some god aweful reason, this was picked best out of all of them... I want my money back.
America, Not so land of the free - My Google Adsense was shut down, cause someone found out a way to get your account suspended... I even have the news post I made about Google Adsense on my Network. They told me I had "mass clicking of ads" or some such.. But my account was suspended, by soon to be proven some 16 year old kid who read somewhere on the internet that you can suspend anyones google adsense account by clicking on an ad for at least 5 hours (Non-Stop Clicking). This person had no life.
I just sat down and watched every streaming video they have right now. Though, in the beginning, it got really choppy with the connection, but I think it was because everyone else from slashdot were checking it out : ) On the good side, it got better, and with the 30 second ads they have, its easy to either watch em, or skip em after 30 seconds. It averages between 1 specific company, or 3 different companies, advertising. Though I must admit, the randomness of the ads were kind of bad, with it being either Cars (The movie), Apocolypto, and Pirates of the Carribean, or it ended up being a Toyota or a Cingular ad.
I will say this, that the quality, for me anyways was really decent for it being a flash player, and I was pretty happy with the results of what ABC Is doing. They did a great job at preparing this, and I look forward to watching the shows at my leisure now on the internet, instead of on tv.
No body needs valve... They are very destructive. Take for an example their license for Cybercafes and LAN Cafes Here
They don't care if you have legit copies or not. They don't care if you remain in business or not. They give you two choices. It is either get a VERY Expensive Licensing for Mass playing, or they sue you.. Wheres the third option to cease and desist? The Cybercafe they went against had to close down due to the hefty lawsuite.
Actually, Ive always provided free community hosting for anyone without ad's.. Its my way of giving back to the internet...Though I THOUGHT About it.. but then I also thought of how annoying ads are in the first place, so I disregarded the idea all together... I was also thinking of having something like Live Journal for my Network, but I never could find a good one.. But in the mean time, I have all the free hosting in the world Praeon Network (Gotta throw in a cheap plug in for that : )
In regards to Live Journal, and the topic at hand, I can understand where they are coming from, but you would think they would be a little bit more understanding, and realise that not everyone on the internet are as smart as us Slashdot members. : )
Well, My website was made to shrink if the need should arise that a 800x600 resolution screen viewer came by... It can grow as big as it needs to be... I do focus a lot now on 1024x768 and 1280x1024 nowadays...
I can remember when 640x480 was a standard for a LONG Time.. however, with more and more people using percentage rather than pixels for size of tables, and the awesome power of CMS's or web portals.. websites are a lot easier to see now with almost any resolution BUT 640x480.
Thats exactly what I am saying... I was waiting in the article though, for one of two outcomes... Microsoft and Yahoo Reps tearing the Google rep apart.. or each of them agreeing that they actually use gmail, instead of their own.
You can clearly see where that was going, let alone the article. The article was rather interesting to me... I can only picture the rep's from Microsoft and Yahoo eyeing Googles Rep all night long, just waiting for the opportunity to rip him to shreds.
For two reasons:
1) It is fun to say...
2) A few comments before mine, I have to agree with... getting used to one layout, then having to go back to basically the default standard setting on any other computer will just slow down my elite typing skills!
Ok, so theres a billion distributions... The fact remains, that Linux still won't cost as much, to deploy in a work force, compared to Vista.... Putting homework to the test, the Administrators obviously need to find the right distro thats right for his company, and go from there...
Its not like Linux has a billion versions for each distro of Linux, they have versions that make sense, and fit the needs of the end user. What if Red Hat had: Red Hat Home Users, Red Hat Professional Home Users, Red Hat For Porn Users, yada yada... People wont know what the hell they are getting!! But besides all that, Im happy to say that the Linux community has made some major breakthroughs lately with such vast compatibility ports to many commercial products used today for those who are "stuck" on Windows Desktops.
No... but Creative and Microsoft seem to be stealing them out of trucks and running them over with the big rigs to ensure the sales don't get out.... they just can't quite reproduce the same results of throwing it up in the air a good 40 feet and letting gravity have its chance for distruction...
[Gamers Anonymous] My nickname is Praedon, and I am addicted to gaming..... [Group in perfect stereo] "Hi Praedon".
On a completely related note, I agree.. its a great stress reliever, especially after a long day of trying to DO SUPPORT for the Koreans when you have a English to Korean dictionary in one hand, and a phone in the other...

Ahh.. Ok, your smallest question has lost first place now. It currently holds second. : )
Your question not only got featured, but it also came first as the shortest question, yet straight to the point. That in itself gives you victory!
Next Article will be about the device that sucks it out of you... Mini Glass Jar case not included.
