    They don't necessarily need to catch up, there's a very large Windows user base that are very happy with XP and haven't seen the need to 'upgrade'.

    As each Android device is accepted the community clarifies for everyone that Linux is the elder brother of Android.

    Which just adds to the confusion, as many Android users now think that Linux is 'made by Google'

    Look at the output of 'iwlist scan' on a wireless linux box.
    First line of each cell looks like very much like a MAC address to me.

    What's wrong with it is it pollutes the Linux ecosystem with Microsoft IP.
    Some think that's risky, and some of us don't care about that but just don't want to use anything that has any connection with MS.

    repackaging google search results wold be little different then copying pages from several novels in order to create your own wouldn't it?

    That would be plagiarism which (in the UK at least) is a separate offence to copyright infringement.

    They are already keeping logs of all your internet access for a minimum of 6 months within the EU. Many countries including Britain happily require that the logs be kept even longer.

    Can you provide a reference to that requirement?

    I am right handed and use the mouse in my left hand, because I like to have my (paper) notebook open beside the keyboard and I can mouse with my left hand better than I can write with it.
