go f* yourself. it's not me that's slow, it's slashdot. they have rules on how long you have to wait before posting, and how many times you can post. " Slow Down Cowboy! Slashdot requires you to wait 20 seconds between hitting 'reply' and submitting a comment. It's been 17 seconds since you hit 'reply'!" "Slashdot requires you to wait 2 minutes between each successful posting of a comment to allow everyone a fair chance at posting a comment. It's been 1 minute since you last successfully posted a comment" See what I mean. By the way, I've gotten first post before, dude. It's not that hard.

First and foremost thing to understand, Ceyan, is that you are too narrow-minded. It is true that on pen & paper, you can truly assume the role of "your" character, which is basicly you. But you also need to understand that a console RPG is designed just how it's meant to be, and you are supposed to go through, AND ENJOY THE F*ING STORY! No company is good enough to please everyone. No one can create "the perfect game". That's why there is such a wide variety of genres. Every game is true in itself. An RPG is an RPG. If there is a half-breed in this gaming world, its people like you. I've said my piece.

I don't think that anyone should be ripping on any FF game. If you don't like a certain one, like FFIX or FFX, then please don't sit there and b***h about them. Other people liked them, and it's really only a matter of opinion. Just because some people don't like a game dosen't mean that it realy does suck.

  14. That's nice but. . . . on Microsoft Officially Slashes Japan Xbox Price · · Score: 1

I think that if Japan gets a price cut then we should to. I own a PS2, and so far Sony has a much wider selection of games than Nintendo or Microsoft platforms. They are going to have to change that before they will ever be able to beat Sony's PS3. I don't know what the new PS3 will be capable of but, I hope that it comes with a hard drive already built in, and the ability to play music cd's WITH the visual effects like the X-Box and the PS1.

  16. RPG's with lack of identity? on Great Game Characters Compensate For Plot? · · Score: 1

For those of you that are only siding with one type of RPG gaming, I have something to say to you. If you have ever played any of the Final Fantasy series, you would know that ALL of the characters have a major role in the game and each have their own personality. they aren't just an image to get you through the game. Also, the Final Fantasy series has always had a very ivolved plot and storyline. There is no lack of identity or personality on games like Baldur's Gate or Morrowind. You create the character, you have the choice of where to go, what to say, who to kill, ally with. . . basicly, YOU ARE THE CHARACTER, your character is a mirror image of you. If your character lacks personality, then you must not have much of an imagination. Sorry, but it's true. You are the player. On any other RPG, like Final Fantasy,(my absolute favorite) Arc the Lad, etc, the characters personality is pre-programmed into the storyline and you just play through the game and enjoy the story. In the end, it all comes around to what the players preferrences are.

What are the "must have" games of today? I believe it all depends on what the player truly enjoys. For example, I am a hardcore RPG fan. I don't always like to play shooters. But every once in a while there is a game that comes out that I just get hooked on, like Medal of Honor: Frontline and SOCOM: Navy Seals. Somebody else might think that those games suck, but that dosen't mean that they aren't "must have" quality. It just depends on the players preferences.

Hows that for enjoying a wide range of gaming experience. I am not narrow minded like some of you criticising SOB's. Graphics are not everything. If the game has a good story line then who cares if it's 8-bit or 64-bit!!!
