Assuming he lives in the same community and buys things there, it seems like he'd be doing more for the area then the library by itself by bringing in outside dollars. He should be thanked for his services.
I've got T-Mobile and can check my minutes at anytime with #999#. But then I'm on pre-paid. So I guess they only let you see your usage when it makes it easier for you to pay them.
This will never be the case simply because handheld system will never be as powerful as consoles of the same price. Smaller components cost more, the designs of the systems are harder to make, keeping it all cool and low-powered brings even more challenges. For the gamers that want the latest graphics and gizmos they're always going to go for the console over the handheld.
The only time I bother taking a picture with my phone's camera as opposed to a normal camera is if it's something happening spontaneous and I want to take a shot immediately.
If I'm going to take the time to make adjustments and setup lighting I'm not shooting with my cell phone.
That said, if the camera can auto-select dark spots and light them without over-lighting other areas or otherwise screwing up the shot, I could certainly see that as a good thing.
I'm the exact same way. Often times someone will give me a link to a video, and the video doesn't play so I check NoScript's list. Usually there are about 5 to 10 other domains trying to do stuff. I'll whitelist the domain I'm actually at, and failing that maybe one or two more if they seem legit.
Beyond that I just close the window. Half the time it turns out the video is just coming off youtube but the site's design requires a bunch of BS to run before displaying it. They're doing nothing more then adding ads to the service that Google is supplying. To hell with sites like that.
I was going to say, "add in the cost of Motion Plus". But last time I was at wallyworld they had them bundled with remotes for the same price the remotes used to be.
So yeah, Nintendo is still winning in terms of price. But I think Sony's banking on existing customers.
Some Wii games do allow you to calibrate. For some insane reason the number of these games are few. The ones that have it allow you to look down the barrel of your plastic gun with great accuracy.
I love how they make it sound like the oil just went away. Hundreds of workers worked 10+ hour shifts every day on the shores cleaning up oil and dead animals for the past months. I'm not sure if that continues even now but the spill is certainly going to have lasting affects on the sea floor and gulf waters.
I actually read the book, and enjoyed the movie more. Yes they're completely different. Yes the book is good. But that's one of my all time favorite movies ever.
For every 1 person like you who boycotts Walmart, there are 500 big fat chesseburger eating americans that spend the majority of their income there. Times are changing and Walmart has managed to adapt. As far as I'm concerned, local shops were already doomed. 75% of the things I buy are ordered via internet from some warehouse.
Apparently I'm in the minority because today our company got owned by this thing. Our IT staff is a joke though. Hundreds of employees and their solution was to have someone walk around from cubical to cubical telling everyone not to open the e-mail (of course even after being told people were still opening the PDF). These things filled everyone's inboxes for about two hours before the exchange server finally crashed. Apparently we've got other critical tasks being ran on the same box(s) as well so it didn't just affect our e-mail.
Apparently the mods agree with the way our tax dollars are spent.
That's ok, enjoy the war your money has bought you.
btw, -1 Troll is not a replacement for Disagree.
naa, our government would just piss it away on dumb crap anyway. No loss.
How could you guys leave out Fox Interactive?

Much like gas prices, cable TV and various other products/services; The prices are high because people continue to pay them.
No offense but your "Real" car is operated by software. You really think knowledge wasn't involved in writing such things?
You wouldn't even be reading this right now if developers didn't create the technologies to put this text in front of you.
Just because something isn't physical doesn't mean it didn't take knowledge to develop it.
Don't complain when incomplete software isn't complete.

Don't worry, there'll be a torrent ;)
Photoshop filters are no replacement for actual light.

Ah, good point. And your right, it's just a matter of time before people find a way to make it do what they want.
He's not even wanting an exploit. He just wants his PS3 to work as it did when he bought it.
Sony did a bait and switch on it's customers.
I've already posted or I'd mod this up.
This is a very good example of why such addresses may be necessary at times.

I know I certainly don't!

It looks like the camera might be a ContourHD. If so, it does indeed have frickin' lasers :D
Technology can fly a plane from JFK to Heathrow. What it can't do is take off from JFK and land at Heathrow.
I'm fairly sure modern airliners can indeed take off and land themselves.
