I hope this thing sells just enough that a significant number of people get totally shafted when Microsoft stops supporting it, and all their purchased music becomes useless.
At least some good might come out of it in the long run.
Well, I think the lack of the record is stupid, but how exactly would someone get a memory card? Sure, the memory card format may be different, but isn't there some sort of serial number on them?
If they just put a lock on the machines before they were given out, it wouldn't matter.
After watching the documentary, I started to wonder whether it's really a big deal. The only way they were able to get the machine to give incorrect results was basically to get the machine in private, and then reprogram the memory card. Getting access to the memory card (which was physically bolted into the case) isn't really an issue, any more than someone getting access to a plain old ballot box for a few hours. No matter what voting system you use, if the box is taken, it can be altered.
They work because you know it didn't work if it didn't work, because no money comes out. As opposed to a voting machine, where you have no way to know whether it was counted.
Actually, when something can be done via the command line, I find it a lot easier to explain how to do something than on a GUI. You don't have to describe what an icon looks like or where to find a menu option. All you have to say is "-option"
I read the paper and it really doesn't work, since one of the ballots can still be used to determine which of the other two go with it.
I do however, like the idea of the "checker". The whole problem that started all this thing was a dispute over voter intention on a poorly designed ballot. Just doing a format check on a scannable paper ballot is probably the best way to go about this.
However, a mac can be bought that is basically a case/motherboard/power supply. Then, you can change all the components. However, i've never had a problem using a random macos cd on it, except when it was for a different CPU architecture (the PPC osx won't boot on a Intel, obviously)
Bugs, also referred to as DOGS (Digital On-Screen Graphics)
Maybe they'll stop using those FUCKING BUGS because of this. They're far worse than the ads. At least the ads are separate from the show. I can't fucking stand when i'm watching a movie on a channel where there's a darkly lit scene and there's a bright white god damn station logo on the bottom.
I hated that vibrate "feature". I would always be shaving when i was half awake in the morning, and accidentally hit the vibrate button on the handle. It scared the shit out of me every time, and I usually ended up cutting myself because of it.
Yeah, but if I can buy 20 pairs of Walmart sunglasses for the same price as a pair of Oakleys, who cares if they're durable? Besides, they'll probably get misplaced before I ever get a chance to break them.
I just went to Walmart to buy an umbrella. I figured they were probably $5. They were ONE DOLLAR. So, since I had expected to pay $5, I bought five umbrellas. Five shitty umbrellas are just as durable as one good one (I've broken one, but the other four still work fine!)
I used to wear New Balance running shoes, they were definitely made in the USA, at the time. I've since given up and now wear $10/pair sweatshop shoes from Walmart. The worst part about the sweatshop stuff is that when 90% of people are buying the sweatshop stuff, the non-sweatshop stuff gets even more expensive due to the lack of volume.
Besides, I'm a grad student now, so I don't feel so bad about sweatshop labor - I'm it.
I wouldn't really call it compulsory military service, it's more like compulsory military training. Nobody is being sent into battle, they're just being trained on the proper use of weapons.
It probably wouldn't bother the Amish, since it would teach them hunting skills. And, the hippies, at least the men, would quickly change their minds after they realize how fun it is to shoot a gun.
Besides, Switzerland also has a civilian service for those opposed to the military.
Aren't the sales for ipods also divided between all the various models and colors?
So, the Jews began their calendar based on the rise of Satan? Interesting choice.
In case anyone is curious, the sequence is QRSFR (Glutamine-Arginine-Serine-Phenylalanine-Arginine)
I don't think that pentapeptides can be easily developed into usable drugs, though.

Well, if amazon sells mostly books, they're useless to blind people anyway.
Actually, didn't the market solve Jim Crow? I'm thinking of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in particular.

Only when they change the situation where I can get a HD set, or a SD set that is twice the size for the same amount of money.
:)
My solution was to buy a 61" HD set, because a 122" SD set wasn't an option.
Never.

Someone needs to correct all these mistakes toot sweet.
If it's part of the EULA, your lawyer is to blame.

I'd like to see the media in the US start calling for the violent overthrow of the government, which is what happened.
Yeah, it's strange that once one of the voting-machine companies might be controlled by a leftist, suddenly they can't be trusted.
Almost all of the world is wrong, since the correct way is year-month-day. (20010911), making it sortable.

It seems like it would be easier to just call your company "Lawsuit".

I'll boycott Sony when someone else makes a game console that will take advantage of my 61" 1080p set.
