1) It stops people from asking stupid questions or ones that aren't on the agreed topics. The debates each have specific topics and there are a lot of areas being covered in a small amount of time.
2) Saves time. Going to the Aud for questions vs having a list. It's is a time saver and keeps things organized.
sadly we are a 2 party system. if you aren't in that party you wont' win. you don't have a legitimate chance at the job. 2 party system has to be changed before that will change. it's us politics.
So, you think that the Greens and Libertarians would make Monkeys out of the Dems and Repubs.... if they were there then the Dems and Reps would prep for them and they can afford much better prep. I do think they would be very well prepared for the Dems and Reps. You give them too little credit. Even if they are feeding a line of BS.
they state things they are fairly sure about as being the way it is. many times it's from the limited understanding we have and they have trouble with that.
I am can't wait to see the scientist explanations of this. One thing that is rare for them to admit is not knowing why something happens. We do have a very small and limited view of the universe and really don't know that much in the overall picture of things.
We rely to much on the schools for it all. They can only do so much. With a society stigma in many schools that it is not cool to learn. Or with many parents leaving it all up to the schools and not even following up with their kids. The problem is much bigger than schools. It's a society issue. Throwing money at it won't fix it. That's like a parent not wanting to deal with thier kids so they get a bigger TV, move vid games, etc to keep their kids occupied. Doesn't really sole the problem. Covers it up for awhile maybe.
This is not as easy as it used to be. In the good ol' US of A it has been shown there are declining education levels and at least where I have worked declining productivity. We need to remain compeditive and that just ain't happening.

It matters to me. I am an engineer. IP is important to me and my livelyhood. No IP means make no money, means me poor and can't afford to be on net much less/.
depends on which part of the corporate world. The last company I worked for downloaded the ISO or did ftp installs of BSD (depending on the application). The current company I work for has serveers where they download the ISO but bought the service. So, either way they didn't buy machines with linux on it from the get go. And neither company is small or meduim in size.
So, what we have been shown in the next release of OSX Tiger that lets you search your documents, email and file system isn't anything like this. We have seen it in action and the set release date is 2005.
Come on Bill....Steve can pull this off and he doesn't have 50 billion in the bank.
Well, a server is something that servers. All those M$ machines with viruses serving up more of themselves for everyone else. That would be a server right? Keeping M$ in the lead. Maybe that's part of their master plan to stay at the top of servers.
I have always been told to take the mag stripe keys from hotels I stay in and cut them up. I wonder what kind of personal info they actually do store on those cards.
It could be a huge hit if your talking about the twins. We would all love to see them going down.
Is a better war movie. Better acting, better casting, and historically more accurate.
This does 2 things though....

I don't expect Bush to actually answer any of the points presented by Kerry this week anyway.
I don't expect Kerry to actually answer any of the points presented by Bush this week anyway.
Do this actually matter though. They aren't legitimate candidates for Pres so do I really care what they ahve to say?
I have to say that since Bush and Kerry are the only legit candidates to get the job (notice my wording) that I don't care about the other debates.

oops, my bad.... M$ is #12 on the list of top contributors. Still, point is the same.
I doubt it. One of Kerrys top 10 contributors is M$

MSFT does need to care about open source and other mail servers. They are a small fish in a big sea when it comes to mail systems.

Let's hope they do another study in a few years and see how much they really saved.
Well, lets see if it's Microsoft Funded again. If so, they may have saved Billions.
I don't know about "Lasers". You might open the case and shoot your eye out.
was there some good lookin hunnie walking by that distracted him. if so, then the real fault was in the low cut tank tops of today.
So, was he talking on a cell, reading something... anyting like that? That makes a difference.
if it were a hummer he was driving he would have survived.
imagine a beowolf cluster of these....
And we shall call it an Arcade
