    Since when did China care about western laws and patents? Right now western corps are russing in there for business. There are a billion people in an up and coming economy. China doesn't care about M$ or US laws. They believe they are in the drivers seat.

    China has the second most powerful military and the fastest growing economy. Plus they are not a democracy.... again, why would they care?

    Well, I know I will get hit hard for this but have to bring it up....

    What about the flood written about in the bible, in ancient writings of India, written about by the ancient peoples of middle america and in many other old cultures? Could this have been it? Could they have all drown?

    It has been estimated that if all the ice melted and the rain all come down that there would be quite a distance of water over the highest peak of the planet. Could this be it?

    This contect is not about the money. It's about innovation. If there is no goal, prize or reason at the end then innovation in that way does not happen. This will give a chance to make some costs back and develop ways of doing things better. This is to try to drive innovation in that area. An area where real innovation just has not happened.

    I must say they have adopted better uses for the technology. Technology is supposed to make your life easier and that is somethign they are doing that western culture isn't.

    China has something western society should model after. It kills me how often I hear, "We have always done it that way, why change"

    They showed that through modern methods they believe this is what happened. A hypothesis. They have not seen it actually occur or any stages of it occuring. It is one thing to put a hypothesis together but another to see it in action.

    I would be interested to see if there are different stages of this hypothesis occuring anywhere.

    Recently I saw a similar design for a network and some "old timers" said it was no good to do it this way. It wouldn't satisfy the needs.

    One thing I have noticed is that for many "old timers" there is the feeling of we have always done it the old way, why change. Any thoughts of how we drag that old donkey into the new methods when they don't want to go?

    Apple went from a pascal based operating system (OS9) to a fully functional, hyper powerful OS in less than 10 years.

    Huh, Microsoft has had 20 years and still isn't there.

    Apple has gone to it in more like 5 or 6 years.

    I have OS X and us users need to quit trash talking. To many of us don't use antivirus software. And, yes, despite it being an amazingly secure setup there are holes as in any system. So, lets not provoke the smart virus writers who can write one for OS X if they put enough time and effort in. Lets stay low key as long as possible

    I bet if apple had an actual kit to put an ipod in a car rather than all the hacker mods that are out there it would help in that area.

    Personally, I don't want a device just for my car. I want one I can have in my car, home and anywhere else I go.

    I think I'll stick with my ipod. Easy to setup and use. Gives me all the features I need (sure there are others i want). It is reliable. These articles keep me hapopy with the choice I made.

    So, those cheap 8-bit processors are pretty reliable. But will the similar price 32-bit be the same for that same cheap price?

    Also, the complexability of the board. To have a 32 bit processor you would have a more complex board. That leads into cost. A 10 or 20 cents over a million units is a hundred or two thousands of dollars you could have had as profit.
