    It all goes to the quality of the coder. This is just plain bad code. I learned how to write something to check these kinds of things in middle school.

    I doubt there will be anything of Darwins on board. It did many things after his travels in it and was eventualy stripped down by someone else. It's like getting a used car with several owners before you. Will you really find anything worth wild from the first owner. Maybe an old green fry in the seat. Who wants that.

    As is usual the US is slow at change. We are stuck in our was and that is especially true for the government. Were there are many places in the world that realize the problems with M$ and are migrating to alternatives it's big news here. We (US) are being slow to wake up and realize the truth. But, that is how the US works.

    I think the problem is, how do you know when all the facts and info are in?

    We explain what we see, in terms that we know, with data that we have. We can do no more.

    Yes, but they know there are many holes in the information but still draw conclusions even knowing they have very limited facts.

    With all of these theories coming out I keep wondering how much real info they stand on and how much are concept. It seems there is a lot of concept coming out these days to explain all of the things we just can't explain yet. Like we need to explain everything right now even if all the facts and info aren't in yet.

    Not arguing that it is better Java but the speed is an issue for pratical use on older machines. Their engine may be broken but for a lot of things it works and for all the basic users i know the broken microsoft VM engine works just fine and faster. A lot faster.

    Is with Java applications. The sun java setup uses more resources than the one integrated into IE. If you are on a slightly older setup (like my mom) and you want to play yahoo games (as so many do) then it's faster in IE. Hate to say it but that is one place IE has a one up on the others.

    They have a good reason for changing the name. There is another Open Source project that has been around longer with the name Firebird.

    I Think the new name is lamer than the old one but it is a great jesture to the open source world to do this.

    Don't forget that the G5 and G4 processors are used for other things. Like mars rovers, and in many other military and applications like that. It is actually a very popular series of chip outside your basic pc market.

    My mom and my girlfriend on paying bills and understanding money. Oh, sore spot. They don't get moneny and can't manage it to save their lives. And there are a lot more out there like them.
