One thing that I tried out recently was 7 volting my fans. Instead of hooking up 12 volts and ground to a fan, you hook up 12 volts and 5 volts. The differential is all that matters. I've heard concerns that pushing current from the 12 volt plane onto the 5 volt could cause problems, but the 5 volt plane is pretty beefy usually.
Of course, you are reducing air flow so you will get a little hotter, but you will get a hell of a lot quieter.

I've got similar problems. I never even got into Baldur's Gate. I haven't finished FFIX or the new Zelda. My friend is trying to get me to play Counter-Strike. Anarchy-Online is about to come out. I have some programming projects I'd like to work on. I'm trying to read the Lord of the Rings. That damned Shadow of the Hegemon book is out! I still need to eat at some point!! I have to go to work also!!!
A few weeks ago there was a "glimpse of the future" clip released showing people play the online Final Fantasy in arcades. Also I remember some article mentioning Square, Sony, and online arcades. Maybe this is the same deal.
