What I think would be cool on this beast would be sliding covers. So that when you are traveling (this beast looks to be made that way), you could slide the covers closed (dust/grit/nastyness). Maybe have a locking mechanizim in it so that no one could thief your gear. Also, with some integrated covers, it looks like a huge plastic box. Just a few ideas.
I have recently been faced with this problem too. I am moving out into an apartment with a high speed data connection. The phone company requires a standard phone line for DSL service. So I said certainly, I will take a regular phone line so I may have some high speed access. I also have one of the SPRINT PCS phones, with no roaming, and no long distance. So pretty much the home phone is the telemarketers phone line.
What controllers are you using that rip the skin off of your thumb? The Dreamcast controllers are pretty easy to use. You must be thinking of the Nintendo controllers which were causing problems. You've got to remember, Nintendo even gave out gloves they were so bad!
Sorry Duxup, I do not work for ATI. I am just an average joe working in my average job. But i am stoked with these new graphics chips comming out from all of the large companies. I wish i worked for the ATI pr folks...then i'd be making the big bucks:)
Did anyone notice that the little gimp logo's eyes are moving? Or is this just me?
On a more major note; This is awesome. Giving the non Linux user a chance to use one of the best free graphics programs. This just might put some people over the edge to load it and try it for theirselves.
I've got a stock '89 Volvo 240. The engine has never been rebuilt, and pretty much the only work done on it is the standard every 10k maintence.
My computer is worth more than it is (but the car does a good job carrying my computer to lan parties). I don't think that i'll be putting a turbo in it anytime soon.
Sure, you can get a fairly inexpensive gigabit ethernet card, but how much is the hub gonna cost. You can only connect 2 computers through a Null Cable (cross over).
I'm no financial Genius or anything, BUT...Usually a stock split helps companies even if they're not about to release a new product. Stock splits (as i understand) split the stocks (duh) so that more people can buy in. I think that this is a marketing ploy by sony to make more money (damn capitalist pigs).
As i remember, Download.com had a copy of this software on their website. I wonder why they haven't been added to the list of "Defendants". Kind of makes you wonder what's going on here.
I have that problem too. It turns out that the X10 DVD-Sender has a coax output, and it uses it beautifuly. I bought mine for the sole purpose of outputting it to an older tv. You also get a nifty RF Remote for controlling your computer from across the house (and freaking out relatives)
I personaly drive a '89 Volvo 240 with 156,000 miles on it. Nothing added on except for the nice Aiwa stereo and speakers. I don't really care much for Horse Power it's got 114. Thats enough for me. The thing that matters is that 4 cars back can feel my music.:)
I believe that Real Networks should be held liable for this blunder. It is their fault that all of this has gone down. They were the ones who did not encrypt the decryption key (i love saying that). These crackers should not be blamed for this. Anyways, I will still buy dvd's untill i get a 5 gbps line running into my house (Then i will have streaming dvd's (like HBO)).
You would think that they might have a link in that article somewhere for Attrition.org (The hacked page wonder). Oh well, it's Cnet's approach to practicly anything (Sugar coating). Even though it was kind of informative.
"Before we can serve you with the nice cold (32 Degrees) Coke that you have already spent $5 for, we would like for you to take a 50 question survey" (Touch interface has 2 buttons "OK" and "Cancel" (Cancel is greyed out).
It seems from further investigation (reading posts), That this monitoring requires the users to be using a CRT Monitor (or tv). How well would this monitoring technique work on the newer LCD Displays? Or Laptops?
Wonderful! the quickies are back! To satisfy my quickie needs, i would go back to the previous quickies, and look at those. (Yes, i have no life). Thankyou Cmdr Taco, this is just what I needed. (Now keep 'em comming)
I'm supprised that it doesnt seem to run well on a Mac. Some of these macs are pumped up higher than my AMD 450 (not sitting in canola oil). Poor poor apple.
If microsoft ports Win32 over to Linux, The people working on WINE won't have any more problems. Also, if this happens, MS might also port win32 to other os's MacOS, BeOS, etc. Also, if this happens, more work environments will allow linux to be installed. I am not aloud to install linux on my work computer because it does not have certan programs (linux). If ms ported Win32, then I would be able to install, and load those programs.
Incase any of yall didn't notice, the modem is removable for future networking solutions. In the little brosure that came with the dreamcast, it had mentions of cable modems/dsl/etc. i certainly wouldn't mind taking on one of my friends head to head on blitz (on different tv's mind you), or quite possibly Quake3. To tell you guys the truth, even before i plugged in my dreamcast the first day i got it, i took out the modem and thought, "Wow, this is kinda cool, when is the lan connection comming out?" This machine was designed to be fully upgradable (now we just need gigabyte disk writers).

Yeah, I re-watched that part, and the guy plugs the power into the device id (master/slave) controller pins.

Comeon man,
I've got a stock '89 Volvo 240.

Yes. This is a tank.
Wow, that's really fast...the engine in my car would blow up if it even thought about going that fast.
What is the access time on a Hard Disk like this? If it's not much faster than the current 7200 drives, i'll just hold out
-Tim
Does this remind anyone of the game that took controll of the crews mind?
Every one was under the controll of some alien species, and only 3 people knew about it?
Maybe it's just me.

With these 2.5 year trips to Mars, If there was a child concieved, would they pack some car-seats in on the spaceship?
