Maybe we could get one of these things to keep the light on in the restroom at work. Stupid think turns off after 5 minutes!
More than once I've been sitting there and the light goes off! Behind the stall door stuck in the dark what a 'bummer' LOL! Nothing like being in total darkness with your pants down!
No job is finished until the 'paper work' is done!
Ever since shopping for a Tivo, wanting a Replay TV and finally building my own HTPC (Home Theater PC) I'll never record on a VCR again. It is just too darn nice to be able to skip commercials, export shows, and email video clips now. I'm using Snapstream's 'Beyond TV', an out of the box recording solution that works.
We purchased some Plasma TV's for a trade show a few years back $14,000 each and bought 2. Some idiot decided to display a webpage that showed email errors for over a year! Needless to say the screens are junk now.
I've often wondered if they could this sort of thing with Cell phones or Land lines as well? I mean how hard can it be to bybass that little hangup switch?

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc. (stock: NOVL), IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.
Talk about reliability! WE have several Netware servers that have been up for years - Literally. Now that Novell is embracing the Linux world I hope we see the same dedication to quality that they have had in thier other products. If they only would tell the world what they are capable of doing....
Your long cords gave me an idea, I happened to have a stair well behind the wall where my HTPC (Home Theater PC) lives. After a recent upgrade to an athlon 2600+ the CPU fan was too loud.
Thanks to your post I realized I could put my HTPC under the stairs in the closet and simply run the cords through the wall!
Yesterday I bought a set of 6' cords and a couple of "old work" electrical boxes to make a nice tunnel through the wall to run the cords. I used my table saw to cut the backs off the boxes and then placed them in the wall back to back.
After running all the cords through to the PC and the USB cords back out I have full functionality and NO Fan Noise. I did have to seal the door with weather stripping to make the sound completely dissappear.
Fortunately the closet is large enough and doesn't get too warm.
If anyone is interested I took many pictures but haven't compiled them into a web page yet. Let me know if you are interested and I'll post them somewhere. Thanks for the idea!!

Anyone ever converted one of those 12v Igloo or Coleman Thermoelectric/Peltier cooler to cool a case or CPU?
You can get one those for uner $100 and they work pretty good and most come with an AC adapter. I've seen a lot of do it your self peltiers but why bother when they are mass produced?
Gutters were created to keep me on the road. What is going to keep me in the sky?
Possibly all this hot air about flying cars?

``640K of memory should be enough for anybody.''
We shouldn't need any stinking 64 Bit Processors!

I've been looking for a way to silence my HTPC and also shut out the annoying Dolby Digital Soundtrack inherently accompanies most of my DVD movies.
