In fact, I'm getting a bit sick of all the frameworks trying to be as "dynamic" as possible with the wildcards and the matching and the auto-classpath-scanning and the watnot... Initial POCs are always easy but once the application grows it seems the complexity too, just because of all the "cool" knobs and dials you can tweak.
ps: It seems ANY java web server on which struts 2 can run is impacted, the connotation with Tomcat is already far fetched, making it with the http server is just laughable. The problem seems to lie with struts and struts alone.
On my volvo it doesn't work below zero or when the car hasn't warmed up completely. It uses a 2nd smaller battery which is dedicated to this start/stop function and uses regenerative braking to charge the battery.
The engine shuts off when I release the clutch at a red light. When I start pressing the clutch it turns on before it is even fully pressed.
I'm running the WRT160N with dd-wrt for more than a year now and it works perfectly (since I put dd-wrt on it that is, the default firmware sucks).
The shop where I got it from now only sells the WRT320N, it has gigabit ethernet and is also supported by dd-wrt. Since it's got the same price I guess that's the new successor....
Speed of development, I guess. Ruby on rails seems to be quite good at this they say. Using netbeans 6 (release candidate) it was a breeze following the jruby on rails tutorial on netbeans' site and deploy it on my tomcat 5 hosting. After that I lost interest.
There is also the promise of a jruby compiler which compiles the ruby files into bytecode.
As I understand it for not having to use a central server.
With bitkeeper and git peers can synchronize with each other without the need for a central server.
Although I don't really understand why that's so great..
I've searched the ud site in the past (and just searched it now), but I can't find the information about who gets to keep the results.
In comparison (this might seem like some shameless "astro-turfing", I apologise) I just searched the folding@home site for it and found it within two minutes: homepage -> faq -> 2nd faq. (which basically states the results will be freed under MIT-style lisence, if I don't mistake).
To be honest I'm quite hesitant to help out "some company" finding a cure with the posibility that I may have to pay big $$ for it later. And as a European the "All-American" grid.org site doesn't really relate to me;) (if I'm not mistaken the results of the Anthrax research were given to the US army, I quit the project after that).

Perusing the docs of Derby it says somewhere that no garbage collection on the connection will be performed until all references to the connection are gone. You shouldn't close the connection once opened (it says), so perhaps the gc isn't run yet after a reboot? Perhaps try running the gc manually on startup?
(I don't know if "perusing" is spelled or even used correctly, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to try that word out;) )
True, here in Belgium we use the excess electricity of our Nuclear plants (because they take about 24 hours to shut down/start up, if I remember correctly) during the night to pump water uphill.
These lakes ("stuwmeer" in Dutch, I don't the English word) are used everyday to help out during the peak-hours.

As far as I understand it it's a crossbreed between c++ and the gnu c++ compiler (basically its lack of support for precompiled header, which, in the 3.4 series is still considered a "technology preview")
KDE is c++, gnome is c.
Also, kde has a lót of integrated programs by default. You don't only compile the desktop + filebrowser, but also kdepim, kdegames, kdenetwork, kdevelop,....
