Now this is certainly curious! Where was the WTO when a French court ruled that Internet based auction companies had to block the sale of Nazi "stuffs" to it's citizens?
This is obviously very close to the same issue, international trade conducted over the Internet between two countries with conflicting sets of rules.
I'm sure it's just my bad memory, but somehow I don't recall the WTO forcing France to change it's national policies to allow for free trade based on the weaker of the two national laws.
In fact I don't remember the WTO doing much of anything at all in that case. I guess it was okay though 'cuz it was France and THEIR laws must be respected.
Now our trivial United States ones on the other hand...
Aren't you paying attention to the screams of the Amatuer Radio Operators on this BBOP deal? The FCC sets the regs on the airwaves as well, which means that if your precious Wireless ISP doesn't pony up the $$$ and somene elses system tromps on it....well you better start shopping.
Frankly the arrogance of "cagers" I encounter day-to-day while riding my motorcycle around town leads me to believe that even IF their spiffy little radar system sees me that they will just lumber their 60,000 dollar 6 ton vehicle right on over anyway.
It is the law of gross tonnage and it's how many motorists seem to play the game. There is more than one 4 wheeled vehicle wearing a nice dent in the sidepanels around here from when they thought they could just bully me around and I don't see this system changing that attitude.
LOL, you maketh me laugh!
I rather think that it is incompetent, clueless, wanna-be hobbyists who give the IT industry a bad name.
That and pointy-haired bosses masquerading as techs...but that could go to my first point as well.
I'm laughing at you as I sit here loading a Windows 2003 TS with Citrix Metraframe XP and plowing through a 2700 page windump of a different server looking for security violations.
Typically when someone starts telling me that they've been doing the geek thing longer than I've been alive it is a serious clue that they don't know what the hell they are talking about.
The length of time you've been hobbying around with computers does not impress me, what impresses me is what you can do with them.
Obviously you don't know how to do much and you expect the auto-install routines to bail your ignorant rear-end out of the messes you find yourself in.
Perhaps someday when you can leave the "I know best" attitude you will be start to become technically competent, until then your nothing more than a Power User pretending to be a Systems Engineer.
You are pretty typical of the owner of a small computer company, maybe you once had some skills but now that your pointy hairs are fully waxed up your lucky to turn one on without starting a 4 alarm fire!
You need to take your paper MCSE back to the mill where you bought it!
People with (l)user attitude, like you, shouldn't set their hands anywhere NEAR a server...let alone try and configure one.
I'm not really trying to be elitist or deriding here, but you sound like you want the AOL install approach where you can toss the CD in and have a server 30 minutes later.
Get real, get a clue and until you do leave the server setups to professionals.

Not to turn this into a Europe Vs. United States thread but...
How many times in the last year have I heard European leaders referring to our current President and his government as "Nazi's"?
As far as the United States government turning into a Nazi regime I think you are eating a diet containing too much Liberal and European sentiment.
I suggest you cut your intake back to two anti-us rants a day and get out in the sun more. Oh, and avoid political debates at all costs.
This will not make one dang bit of difference.

Would be nice to find some wouldn't it? Unfortuneatly I've had no success tracking any down...

But why exactly IS Star Trek on UPN anyways?
UPN is a little jerkwater network that isn't even delivered reliably over DSS! (18" Satellite Dish)
I mean really, is this the best channel to deliver a premium SciFi related show with a huge fan base on???
Would someone answer this one? Please?
Sure, but how are you going ot plug your DirecTV receiver into your cordless telephones handset?
There is more than one cager running around town with my bootprint permanently embedded into their sheetmetal.
