You should assume, when posting to a public forum, things are read the way they are written. If you didn't mean to call the book shit, then call it something else. That simple.

Why would you call this material 'shit'? That's a very closed minded attitude. That says a lot about someone who would narrow down the use of anything to the realm of only TWO possibilities.
Can't believe nobody else added this to the list VLC is by far, the best media player I've ever encountered. I even use it to stream external hardware video, like from my XBox, to play console games and dvds on the same monitor.
Its usefulness is so invaluable, gosh, I'm in love
Well after defeating the game in less than a day, I feel like this thread deserves a bit more attention. The metal sides, the grate-like fins, they were made in light of the game's design. Only after playing the game should we judge this case.
My mistake last post was that I didn't realize - The reason why the first case reminded me of HL1 so much was because I had already played the game!
Solutrean, thank you for refreshing my memory.
Yeah... I find it disturbing that I've never heard of this culture. I never even knew there were cave paintings and signs of pre-historic life in France and England. Sounds like really interesting stuff I'll have to research some time.
Kind of exciting, huh
I just saw this on an episode of Nova. (Its what I watch at 5am in the morning)
They also linked the stones to European tool-making, and believe they may have used boats to travel to North America. Yeah, so maybe its a stretch, but still a possibility.
The evidence was really believable, but its was ONLY based on the tools. The artwork and other survival methods did not make the trip, so who knows.
Very interesting special episode though, and being half Native American, I'd like to think there's at least some cultural link between my parents
Well, I mean its great. It looks awesome, but nothing about it really screams HL2 to me... The first one really reminded me of the BlackMesa facility, this one looks like.. a steam ship. I think that might be because he based the design on screen shots, rather than the game play. I couldn't have done better, and I have no ideas of my own, but I was still expecting more for the OFFICIAL HL2 computer.
Its an excellent case mod though, I really do love the design itself.
Agreed. You can even look at the connected list from 2003! WPI is 22nd, and some of the answers are YES compared to this year where they are NO. Research seems shady...
Not that I have anything against RPI....
a follow by 13 u's :D haha
It wasn't supposed to be insightful, just my opinion. I don't enjoy reading them, I don't like them
haha
Okay Anonymous Coward. I'll put them away. The school disabled server side scripts apparently, probably because of a new security bug.
I don't like LiveJournals.

I liked the flash presentation. Informative and interactive without being a full blown technology show-off.

The ultimate irony: Students failing out of college because they spend too much time playing The Sims.
Sad thing is, I'm so lazy, I'd rather attend classes and do projects in The Sims rather than travel across campus!

"giving away money effectively is almost as hard as earning it the first place."
-Bill Gates
Great quote, interesting article, not sure if I agree with it entirely, but the quote gives a cool perspective.
By the way the Bill & Melinda Society (or whatever) do a lot for charities, students, colleges, and NPO's.
The entrance will say "Press any key to continue_"
Ahhh stop. You're killing me. No, really STOP 0x0000000A BAD_BSOD_JOKES
They can write BSOD in big white letters on the top of it.
Wasn't there an article on /. about how Microsoft owned the copyrights on XML (which seems bizarre to me).
Has anyone else mentioned this? (too lazy to surf forums)
