Hopefully people in this country will eventually join up in a large enough grouping and say enough is enough. Its really pathetic when you have organizations that tell you how to do things and we just bow our heads and go ok... we surrender.

Now of course before this gets replied to a million times, these comments refer to the general public and not exactly the community that will be reading this.

Well maybe the fact that some of those programs mentioned do anonymous and routine communications without the users knowledge/activation. How about the fact that I have my IM up all the time and just down keep a webpage up all the time. I am not using it all the time just online. But i use a lot more bandwidth when I surf. They should judge this by bandwidth usage. (which I admit can not say for certain they are or not doing, i think that some file sharing programs would pop up there too then)

While both of these are moving towards a reality, i doubt that you will see any movie service in the next year or so. Computers are just not the best way of playing a movie. And while I am sure that there are some people who here who have their monitor hooked up to some big tv or something like that, most dont. Now at first that is what I was thinking when I saw teh article. Clear case of microsoft embarrassment and microsofts reaction would clearly be one of litigation (now of course, it still is likely to do that) but is that the best thing for microsoft. One of the reasons other systems have such good security is because they have a consortium of people and organizations working on them. If microsoft took this approach they could move to be a more secure environment (they still be evil)

    My 2 cents worth

Because they dont specify their definition (although clearly they mean towards number of hours online) of wht hourly usage limits are, it coul,d be argued that they mean that usage is also downloading and uploading. And therefore if they have no hourly limits, to have a monthly or yearly limit, would be in fact contradictory to such statement. And the courts often rule in favor of the consumer when it comes to contradictory statements.
