  1. Re:Ranma 1/2 on Cartoon Network Serves Up More Anime · · Score: 0

Cowboy Bebop has a hermaphrodite.. I'm sure Ranma would be edited enough that it would put its fans out, but as far as language and suggestive dialouge and situations go, [AS] doesn't seem to be too strict. They set up a large list of shows on their board they'd never air, like Ranma, Excel Saga, Evangelion and so on, but I think cost was the main issue with most of them. Of course cost of editing probably factors in...

I wanted to see more Yu Yu Hakusho. It was a silly show, and there's no good reason I should have liked it, but I did... Me and my crew did some searching for more episodes online, and there seemed to be a lot more, but oddly enough they were all in French.

Dup translations have to worry about mouth movements. Even the best will have to be selective at some point jsut to prevent overlap of lines. Subs can translate directly if they want to, no worries.

is when my cable company will bother picking up the anime network. I love Cartoon Network in general, and Adult Swim in specific is my TV God, I think there's a large void to be filled where I live.

I can't remember a single moment in my life when the difficulty involved in a piece of music brought me any pleasure. Listening to Rachmaninov is like sticking your head in a bee hive and tipping over a glockenspiel. Give me Debussy and a gray, rainy day and I'll be set.

Chess is a spectator sport, and there are enormous Scrabble competitions. Gaming will never be the kind of thing that sells out a stadium, but I can imagine a weekly show cropping up on one of the "educational" channels dedicated to gaming. It would have to be edited pretty well, and do a lot of behind-the-scenes, but I would probably enjoy wat ching it.

  16. Re:So now we end up fighting wars over water? on New Method To Generate Electricity from Water · · Score: 1

Pressurizing water is as simple as carrying it up a hill in buckets. Nothing creates energy. A generator is a method of converting energy from one state into electricity. And this really is about as close to "from water" as it could possibly get. Electrons are being stripped straight off of the water molecules as pressure forces them through the tubes.
