WSUS is quite useful! I've been using for several months already. Once a computer connects to the domain, the updates install automatically or with a notification.
This appears to me to be a sender-created white list. What if a virus arrives from this sender? Do you accept it as a good, not junk mail?
I figure validation should be based on the email address or domain, and the IP address(es) of the sending server. The incoming mail server should have a white list of addresses and domains and there should be a list of IP addresses associated with each address and domain.
That way if Aunt Mary who lives in Smalltown, USA, sends an email from somewhere in Europe (no offense meant to our European neighbors), you'd figure something is not right. Also if an unknown person is sends an email from Aunt Mary's computer, you'd figure something again is not right.
Granted some large ISPs have many sending IPs. Maybe they should post a list of those IPs, so that email admins can copy/paste. Maybe email admins could tell their mail server to fetch a validation list from the MX server(s) of a domain. This being done without changing the SMTP spec.
Of course, this is all talk about connection filtering. Content filtering is handled well IMO by SpamBayes.
How can I socialize with my three IT co-workers when I live 50 miles west of the office and they live 15-25 miles north-east of the office? The company Christmas party is the ONLY time I socialize with any of my co-workers.
Also, I'm not the only one who travels that distance to work. It's getting to be the edge of normal in bustling Atlanta, GA.
Who the heck came up with this idea of a 'one world government' in the first place? Someone who dont know what people in the next continent over are like?
What laws can be made that treat people and cultures equally and fairly? Forcing all governments to follow a single body of rules and guidelines is like trying to get a hundred kids to agree on a place to eat lunch! It's usually defaults to the (awful from my experience) school cafeteria!
Until all six bazillion humans on this great planet can agree on one set of rules regarding what's right and what's wrong, all six bazillion humans are going to squabble!
I saw it this past Saturday night with my wife. She cringed at several places, but I liked it. I saw the first one but can remember only a few details about the story. Overall I enjoyed this instance of the fight of good and evil.
Regardless of the plot, I enjoyed watching those two women fight with those sharp, pointy thingies.
And kudzu is the predatorial vine of The South (southeastern USA). It kills by smothering other forms of plant life. I hate the stuff. It detracts from the natural beauty of creation/nature.
What kind of error checking would be needed to make sure that not just the bits are accurate but also that the whole packet or message is sent? If there's any error, the packet would need to be resent thus doubling the latency, right?
Also, it seems that the moon would be a good place to start the interplanetary since one side is also facing the earth. Sorta like Steve Martin's arrow in the head gag. In one side, go around to the other side, then out.
Just thinkin...
What are the chances that the star will have a gravitational effect on our solar system? I figure close to none considering the distance - 170ly.

I got a Chicony that I bought used from a friend back in '96, and I've never had a problem. It's a tad bit yellow but I don't care. I work for a concrete company, and the keyboards that the dispatchers use last on average a few months before the keys start sticking. I just pop off the keys and blow out the cement dust (cough cough hack ptooey snort gag repeat). After that it works fine despite looking quite icky.
Evertime I (re)install Windows, I delete those bookmarks. When I noticed that 'links' folder kept reappearing, I created a dummy file called 'links' in the favorites folder. 8) Why would I have a folder called links when everthang I put in there is a link?
How does a disc of matter collect into a sphere and how does that sphere manage to maintain its orbit for thousands and millions of years?

No wonder he lost! In the second image, the 'black' queen is on a white square! I'm sure that this affected his strategy.

if a==b
then dividing by (a-b) yields division by 0

This bug is almost as funny as the Earth Rotation bug where the earth is rotating in the wrong direction.
Oh! What joy that tomorrow shall bring forth! Surely the "waiting for reply" message shall no more vex my weary eyes!
My brain hurts from reading that.
