Not really, no. Few countries have, afaik, something close to Netflix subscription streaming...but as I recall there was something subpar about it; and in some way it works around the "common market" stuff.
Either way - on one hand prices divrged a lot, and on the other...it can be almost said that nowadays hardly anybody in the EU uses landlines (apart from for DSL, which typically can't require voice subscription now; or as a business or institution which have completelly different types of plans anyway)
Why does it have to be an agenda? It's irrelevant to the issue; a trend of organic type (as very possibly happened with Iraq & WMDs) is even more troubling.
And such small technicality is perfectly relevent IMHO withing such small difference, of a word with and without quotation marks. Especially if the case would be considered entrapment in many areas...

If nobody cares about Kiribatian mythology, there could be always other things for the world to care about. Some resources perhaps? Guano deposits are most likely long gone, but I wonder - maybe coral reefs, while growing upward when the mountain below them subsides, trap inside significant amounts of guano? Strip mining of atols might be easy enough in close future...

And you know, people universally convince themselves that they, & similar people with whom they choose to stay in contact with, represent above average part of the society; tending also to overlook some flaws. Overall, sharing those perceptions doesn't really tell much.

That might as well be how battleships dominated them at the beginning of WW2...or so was thought (plus generally, the size of opponnent chosen is a much better indicator of might; the American Empire chooses military midgets for some time now & tensions with one potent past adversary never escalated / their anti-carrier weapons weren't used; adversary whose efforts at expansion by intimidation also masked an internal (societal/economical) decline...)
The closing sentiment is a thing which can be found even in the earliest written words surviving to our times, anyway. Together with how the moral decay of youth will destroy civilisation.
