Hey, in this case the users are small in numbers and "geeky" so typical MS adoption rules should not apply. OTOH parent poster seems specifically inspired by this MS release (and its promises) in asking for a robot to play with...
Plus why would limit yourself to only handful of supported prebuilt robots. Or to how MS software is limiting their use? (will it even run independently of a PC with Windows?)
See, at my place (not far from Austria), it is a standard practice for a priest of Abrahamic faith (never druids!) to "baptise" stretches of roads or cars (among many other things)...with demonstrably poor results (the dark orange of recent EU memberstates; where people also drive less...)
Removing the battery instead of turning it off or into quiet mode? One cellphone = an oil tanker of energy when there are probably around 5 billion of them right now? And all trasmitting all the time, sort of.
Just a bit foreign languages (from one linguistic group) are actually more irritating, possibly. With totally foreign & unknown ones - they're just gibberrish. With related ones - there's constant trying to make sense out of something which doesn't have much of it, to you; trigerred by occasional words or even whole sentences which do sound "right"... (even if their true meaning is different)
Well, I can perhaps buy that the group you're in contact with was trained after a while, in this specific case of CCCP/VLC (or they found somebody else?;p Or - you're not thinking of "average enough" users)
New things will probably still require largely new training...
I guess it would be very hard to run the electronics of probes at such low temperature; space isn't "cold" the way people imagine it, and overheating of working components becomes a major issue...because there's practically no convection. The only way to get rid of waste heat is to use radiative transfer.
I somehow doubt the one on Voyager is very efficient; those (on the Shuttle, Soyuz or ISS) depend on working liquid.
It's all just midichlorians (similarly to how we realised very recently that it's not evil spirits, demons, satan - just harmful microorganisms; and not grace of %DEITY, just (also) beneficial ones). Didn't you get the memo?
That would be easy, considering my country is officially 95+% Christian...but which ones are the "true" anyway? Which ones telling me they are the "true" ones should I believe?;p
(have you tried pointing out that we are supposedly made in his image, of which logic and way of thinking must be an important part? Or that Abrahamic deity displays staggeringly amoral, staggeringly...human traits)
And it's hard to justify that expense for a machine which I consider to be way overkill, as far as performance expected from an untraportable goes (which works against battery life / necessitates larger batteries). Getting which would be also wasteful on most general terms (resources, etc.)
Islam isn't that far from Christianity... Same thing doesn't manifest itself the other way around in other discussions probably simply because, all things considered, most people here don't really give a frak about Islam; it's virtually not present in their lives. But sure, just different manifestations of the same mechanisms, if it makes you happier; is that disclaimer really needed with every post about some mythology?
PS. Don't pretend that Christians (at least some groups of them...the rest giving those groups power) don't do censorship, also in supposed "free speech land". Can you see any tits on streets? Daytime TV? What about those "too violent" games or need to shield children from harmfull cults?
This list seems more tidy. And just below with links to fully free software with which MS tries to compete via this release, probably (doesn't mention one...worth mentioning)

Oh just stop devouring so much (going by sig...) beer, for a while.
Plus in a basically coastal city, definatelly in the pirate area of influence (even if Western Sydney might be pushing it)
Or it might finally set some things straight ;)

So...who do they serve?! ;p

Ehhh...
The only real?
Could it be that "those damn youngsters" have this one right?...
Both when it comes to being rather discrete and maintaining privacy.

The system of governance is, ultimatelly, a reflection of its society. Don't kid yourself it's not the case.
With growth of databases there's at least some potential that the methods, if indeed weak, will be demonstrated to be so.
Or one can just start some sect objecting to puncturing of the skin, sanctifying bodily fluids, etc.

Too many people have only USB ADSL "modems" at hand.
You're sure about that? I would be surpised if even even 10% managed to do that...
Or you can just just add DSP to that "not quite aesthetically pleasing" transistor amp.

I really hope we would have spacecraft available with such time dillation...
I wonder how sure they are that it will...
And choosing more efficient sofware enables also just what you're describing, to fullest extent.
So, Mozilla acted to restrict freedom of software included in Debian.
If you want to run "AdBlock" then you're stuck with FF of course, considering that's a specific software name. As for comparably nice (but light / integrated) adblocking...
