    It's already been ruled by Canadian courts that we can download songs without paying anything else because we already pay money for CD-Rs, DVD+-R, iPods and other music devices. Yes we already pay this on iPods in Canada so fuck them. It's still violation of copyright to UPLOAD in Canada but not download.

    Dude, you speak the truth. Although I'm not in a group with the whole class, the whole class does the same project and I'm teamed up with only 3 other morons. The SE program at my school is focused so much on project managment and engineering(electrical circuits in a SE program) that there's not enough time IMO to learn coding. Luckily I took coding at a college and went to university after that.

    Well mine which I'm typing on right now runs at ~50C or ~120F and I'm not doing anything but web surfing. It's also sitting on my glass top desk with adequate ventilation space underneath. That seems to make a big difference. I was using it on my bed and it got much hotter.

    I'm not sure whether something has changed since yesterday but when I got the IE7 thing pop up asking me whether I wanted to install it, something other than WGA checked whether my windows install was valid. It was built into the installer itself.

    I doubt you'll ever be able to do that. Imagine every application does it and can't be paged out. You'd run out of memory very fast.

    I'd say it's ALL people who run it on their non Apple hardware pirated it. You can't buy OS X for Intel hardware in any store, it only comes with a Mac purchase. So either they purchased a Mac and used that copy(stupid idea) or they downloaded an already cracked version(much more likely).

    Actually it has more to do with genetics than testosterone. If you are prone to male pattern baldness you can have normal test levels and still lose your hair. Lots of people cycle steroids and don't lose any hair because they aren't genetically inclined for it. If they are then yes they can lose their hair and the higher test does cause it but only if you have the genes for it.

    You are right. A virtual click wheel or the strips along the side makes sense for a video device because you're obviously looking at the thing all the time while it's playing a video.

    I just ordered a MBP and got $200 Canadian off. It went from $2199 to $1999 = about 9.1% For the MBP at least I don't think there is any advantage of getting a student ADC membership.

    Actually it's probably revision 5 or so. Apple always silently fixes things without changing anything besides serial numbers.

    If you expect lower prices you're fooling yourself. Back when the US was blocking Canadian beef because of the mad cow thing, prices of beef from the farmers plummeted. Did we see lower prices at the grocery stores like you'd expect? Hell no, the price remained exactly the same while the big food stores made higher profits.

    I don't really think that's the reason. GPUs have very fast RAM, lots of it, are dedicated to specific tasks and are very fast at these specific tasks. CPUs have lots of stuff in there that does nothing related to what the GPU is designed for like logic circuits and whatnot. Dedicated hardware is always way better than general purpose hardware.

    There's only one competitor which is StarChoice and I don't believe their hardware is any better. I have ExpressVu in Ontario and the Canadian govt. doesn't allow American satellite companies to sell service here.

    I don't know what the hell people's problems are with windmills. They look cool and you just look at them and see you're getting free energy from nature. Wind is one of the best alternative energy souces we have going right now.
