    And exactly how does Apple prevent you from replacing the battery. I haven't noticed any bobby traps on my iPod. And before you make the stupid comment that you would void your warranty...if its still under warranty Apple would replace the battery for free! as that would be defective.

    funny since when is the fact that some internal parts may fail before others make an item defective. If the screen breaks after five years is the product defective by design because the touchpad still works? Is my car defective because the starter failed after 250,000 miles? Are all other manufactures batteries defective because I can't replace the individual cells when they fail?

    from your logic all cars are defective because there tires wear out and are not user replaceable. And before you claim you change you own tires realize you just unbolt the rim...replacing the tire requires a professional.

    Ask Nokia about this one. removable batteries equal people replacing them with cheap defective/out of spec no name batteries. Which equals fire. This results in a story online about Nokia phones bursting into flames, not about cheap batteries!

    first rule in law school is never ask a question you don't already know the answer too. asking people to prove that something is possible if you don't know for sure is part of that.

    There in deep dodo. Requiring anything that might disclose that applicants age, race or other protected and prohibited information is a violation of federal law. (its illegal to ask for a drivers license until after someone's been hired) What they are doing is absolutely illegal and should result in a large fine to the federal Gov and a nice class action settlement that will probably bankrupt the town. Its also illegal to do background checks on applicants for the same reason (once again you can't do it till there hired)

    If the goal is to stop importing energy then we need to start drilling for more oil here in the USA.

    Its not.
    we only import a small percentage of our oil. about 20%.
    we do not import oil from middle east. That would be stupid. Our imported oil comes from Canada, Mexico and Venezuela.
    Even if we get 100% of our oil from American sources OPEC still controls the largest amount of the worlds oil and thus the price of all oil!!!! Do you really think if Oil doubles in price in europe that Exxon will sell us our oil any cheaper.

    dude... electric cars aren't even economically feasible now. On the brink yes...but not yet.

    by the way what idiot would produce an electric car when gas has gotten cheaper every year for the last century. (minus the oil embargo and the W presidency)

    Reality Check - Gas was the cheapest ever in 1998 at $1.22/G in 2009 dollars.

    Farmers in europe have run there equipment off home grown ethanol for decades no problem.

    Energy density has nothing to do with efficiency. Its not really relevant that gas has more energy in it, Its how much you can get out of it.

    Oh and by the way it is possible to make ethanol from things other then corn.

    lets face it Americains have never had to pay for news and never will. That $.50 we paid for a news paper wasn't for the news, hell it probably didn't even cover the cost of the paper and ink. News whether in print, on radio or on TV has always been ad supported.

    Yes its video using up most of the bandwidth. But strangely if you use TWC video on demand service it doesn't use any.

    It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the only ISPs talking caps are the ones that offer video services.

    I really doubt this particular trojan could form much of a DDOS attack. It is a poorly hidden and pretty simple to find and dispose of code, and its presence was found quickly and quite was well known.

    we have only the statement of one individual that any illegal activity has occurred. Said individual is known to have an issue with defendant. ANY AND ALL EVIDENCE COLLECTED HAS BEEN EASILY ACCESSED BY THAT INDIVIDUAL.

    most companies keep there COBOL systems running because no one is left that knows how they were originally set-up well enough to build a replacement. I know of a couple of places still running COBOL on Wangs because no-one knows how they work.

    I mean really 25 million on a Game. We all know they don't pay the developers crap, so most of that goes to mindless marketing, parties for media types and HYPE HYPE HYPE.

    on the other hand we have guys who just downloaded the iphone SDK to see what they could do and in a couple months released a game that cost nothing but those two months of time, with no marketing, no TV ads and no parties, who are making tens of thousands per day selling games for less then $5.

    but of course the key is it needs to be creative. if i say "I bought an apple computer"... well i'm clearly not the first person to ever say this...but clearly it was not said before 1976 so copyright would still apply... did I just violate a copyright???

    problem is copyrights are analog laws in a digital world.

    Ok average word length of 5.1 plus 1 for a space. 140/6.1 = 23 words. So where looking at combinations of 23 words that form a sentence or at least a coherent thought.
