    no one can sue Cortney Love for Libel. Because no matter what she says its still coming from Cortney Love and lets face it if your reputation can be damaged by what she says you don't have a reputation.

    this sort of reminds me of the stupidity of suing an anonymous poster on a web site. Until you sue them its just some meaningless rant from an idiot on the internet and is pretty much ignored. But once you file a lawsuit you add validity and public attention to there statement. In reality you cause the damage to your reputation by suing.

    of course you need to eliminate all those that don't form words in some language. Those that make no sense. and only keep those that clearly no human has ever spoken before in the last 3000 years and billions of people talking for hours every day.

    Funny it seams more like his job is to crush Microsoft into dust with his giant ego and tiny brain. And doing a mighty fine job he is.

    Fact is Apple could wipe MS of the planet at anytime they wish, releasing OS X for commodity hardware would make MS a minority player in less then a year. Meanwhile the resulting stock crash would completely drain MS of talent Just leaving Ballmer.

    China is a huge market, but several of the iPhones features are a no no there. (GPS etc) Could it be that rather then sell an iPhone with half its functionality disabled for the chinese market, Apple has decided to make a new phone without those features just for the chinese market.

    I don't think being unemployed and unable to pay the rent of feed your family have a positive influence on creativity.

    Well If that stuff can't motivate you, you should just go deep throat a 9MM.

    The point is that the harder the times the harder people will work and the bigger chances they will take. (just the opposite of what big companies will do.)

    In this age you can't just work one media. Newspapers as they were are gone. TV news as it was is gone. Web news even will cease to exist.

    Almost all school and corporate computers have remote management software on them. If they didn't There would be a few million more IT jobs out there.

    Chances are if you used a machine that wasn't yours the IT guys could see anything you did...if they wanted to. IT will always have the Administrator password for your machine and once your on the network they can do pretty much anything to it.

    This is not about using a fake name to sign on to a web site! such actions do not fall under this law!

    This is about providing False information to access a computer (Which really is all that hacking is) with the intent to cause harm or damage. The are TWO clear elements of this crime

    1-unauthorized access

    2-intent to inflict harm.

    you must do both to be guilty and the jury decided she did (correctly in my opinion)

    this is not the part of the law broken... (no interstate communication here) the part this falls under is

    "(ii) intentionally accesses a protected computer without authorization, and as a result of such conduct, recklessly causes damage;"

    the law is clear a precise and would not apply to someone just using a false name.

    Seriously folks the dept of labor only represents employers not employees. They WILL NOT go after an employer for not following the Fair Labor Standards Act. They only ASSIST employers in being COMPLIANT (this is there stated policy).

    if you want to be paid, YOU HAVE TO SUE. This is why employers get away with this shit. They have no real liability till it gets big enough for a class action suit. Its just not economical for an individual to follow up a complaint.
