  1. Stick it out on How to Leave a Job on Good Terms? · · Score: 1
While it's hard to say seeing as I don't know the exact details of your situation, I've always believed you should stick things out.

Perhaps you can go out and get your boss drunk one night and just get it all out on the table. I'm sure he's just overreacting because he's upset.

  2. thick-film dielectric electroluminescence on Are Nanotube Monitors In Your Future? · · Score: 1

I've been following this for years, but I never hear about it anywhere. These guys seem to have a pretty good thing going on...

    From their site:
iFire Technology has created a solid-state flat panel display technology called thick-film dielectric electroluminescence (TDEL). An inorganic electroluminescent (IEL) display technology, TDEL is based on a patented thick-film dielectric structure that enables excellent video performance and color saturation, while providing inherent ruggedness and reliability. Compared to other flat panel display technologies, iFire's TDEL technology involves a low-cost and high-yield manufacturing process. Combining low-cost potential with excellent video performance characteristics, iFire(TM) displays are poised to become the affordable, high performance flat panel alternative for the mass consumer television market.

Plus, they love to call the command key by several different names

Nope, you're confusing us with people that don't use Macs.

Another one - OS X's in-built CD-writing just can't do multi-session properly. You write multi-session on it, and you can read only on other macs, so it screws up and only shows the most recent files on PCs. It is also goddawful slow compared to CD-burning with Nero on a Windows comp...

How does it compare to Window's built in CD burning? I imagine that you all use Nero because the Windows CD burning software sucks. On the Mac we use Toast and it is excellent.

    OS X is not super-stable

That's just crazy. It's rock solid.

The OS is more expensive if you want to update...

What does Windows cost again? $299.00 for Professional? what does the Mac OS cost again? $129.00? And the Mac OS plus the cost of a whole new version of iLife (I'm sure Apple NZ would have given you an upgrade price) $178.00? Yeah. That Mac OS is WAAAAY more expensive.

But your sure nailed it with those keyboard shortcuts. They are really confusing. What? They are...

First, I don't come from a Socialist nation.

Second, my point was that in much of your country, you have no idea what is going on beyond your own boarders, not necessarily due to your media (although they play a huge role) but because many of you are simply too afraid or too ignorant of what's outside your borders to look into it. You don't bother to form your own informed opinion - remember, you only live in a free country if you choose to exercise your rights. This means I believe you are not qualified to speak about what the rest of the world realises because you HAVE NO IDEA.

However, feel free to continue to make an ass of your self as you see fit. Hey, it's a free country.

I hardly believe that you have any right to say what the rest of the world realises, or does not realise. About 46% of your nation are cluless to what the rest of the world realises.
